Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 298,439 units of its 2013–2016 Dodge Dart models due to a potential defect involving the transmission shifter cable. The issue may cause the shifter cable to detach from the transmission, preventing the vehicle from properly engaging the park (P) position and resulting in a loss of park function.

From its first reveal to this day I can’t believe the Dart was not a raging success.
I also believe a Dart replacement is absolutely needed by Dodge in sedan and coupe variants, as was the popular Neon, to return to the compact segment with exciting performance and styling. No one will ever convince me that the Dart should not have been a fixture in this market had not the corporate bosses blown the launch and the blunder of launching minus an American focused drive train as they built a car to please the green lobby in government rather than customers.
I’m looking at something here that should put Dodge back in charge of this whole segment for those people wanting something more than an appliance in a compact car. The original Dart still resonates in my mind.
This I believe completely.
