Absolutely love our 2006 Crossfire roadster, our second after our fastback. Saw this concept at the New York Auto Show and vowed to get one as soon as launched. My dealer jacked up the price so high immediately at launch, the dog, claiming they only could get eight and I would have to take whatever they got sight unseen off a list of takers on the Crossfire. We sadly walked away. Six months later he had one left, a silver fastback and we snatched it up. We absolutely loved it but turned it in after the lease was up. My wife had a fit, she wanted another but a convertible. The search began.
Trying to find one new was close to impossible and we looked for a used one, which we located a distance away, but my wife was unrelenting. We tested a new Mercedes SLK, but her heart wanted the Chrysler. On that very day we went back to the dealer for the used Crossfire but we spotted a red one in the corner. The dealer told us he just got it from Germany and it was new, not used and would cost more. In twenty minutes it was ours. Great decision!
Still own and love that Crossfire which has been flawless, so exciting to drive and draws raves at car shows where people just can’t stop praising this beautiful car.
That’s our Crossfire story and it began with this concept. Thank God my wife is a determined women and I’m a smart “yes dear” guy.
If ever Chrysler gets its act together, a next generation Crossfire would be the halo car the brand needs. I think I have someone in my home who will buy one as fast as she can write a check. I’d give her the pen.
