CAUGHT AGAIN: 2019 Ram 2500 Power Wagon:
Ram's Heavy Duty Offroader On The Streets...

p3125453042-6-780x405.jpg

Based on the Ram 2500 Heavy Duty 4×4 Crew Cab, the Power Wagon features a number of off-road-specific enhancements, including a unique suspension with more than two inches of lift and locking differentials. The Power Wagon trim, of course, will return on the revamped 2019 Ram 2500.

According to our sources, the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 will return to power the mighty off-road pickup. Of course an automatic transmission will be standard, but we still are hoping for a new ZF-based 8-speed automatic to replace the old 66RFE 6-speed automatic. Thanks to spy photos from our sister site 5thGenRams.com, we know that the truck will still feature a column mounted shifter instead of a rotary-dial shifter like the 2019 Ram 1500.

It makes me think that the 2500 platform will be more similar to the 1500 and less similar to the 3500, as unlikely as that sounds.

In BC Canada, there's a luxury tax applied to 2500s, so we don't sell them. Only 1500 and 3500s, so we won't see any benefit to the 8 speed entering 3/4 ton trucks. I hope the 8 speed finds its way into the gas engine 3500s eventually.

Awesome, now if I could only remember who was asking about it.

He wanted to get the bucket seats and console in a Powerwagon.

This should be good news for him
