Twin-Turbo Charger Coupe Lets Loose While Filming In Downtown Detroit

It appears that yesterday, in downtown Detroit, Dodge was caught filming what looks—and sounds—like the all-new 2026 Dodge Charger Outlaw coupe. It didn’t take long for muscle car fans to take notice, especially once the exhaust note echoed off the buildings near Bagley and Cass Streets, near the Rosa Parks Transit Center downtown. A perfect setting for Dodge’s new muscle car, as it’s located near the iconic Woodward Avenue.

If you guys are OK with your car sounding like a dirt bike, why didn't you already buy one of the 16 available from ANY brand?

HARD pass for me. I still think sales on this will be much greater than the EV but much lower than the V8s.
There can be many engine sounds that are exciting, project performance and please the listener, even dirt bikes which this Six Pack sounds nothing like to my ears. I have a V-6 Crossfire that differs a lot from my Hemi Challenger but it certainly sounds good and makes me smile. I like this Six Pack overall and the exhaust note is just so cool. Again, my take.

This car is going to be a beast once the aftermarket gets their hands on it. I remember back several years ago when I was working at American Muscle and Ford was just switching over to the Coyote 5.0L V8. At the time, the 412hp 5.0L was light years ahead of the old 3V, which mustered up about 315hp in stock trim but the 4.6L had a more familiar sound than the Coyote so it got rejected by alot of people on that aspect. Once the right aftermarket companies got their hands on that car and started tuning exhaust systems to cater to the new engine, things took off. While it is true that most of us love the sound of a V8, for a stock car, the Charger with the six pack sounds pretty good. The aftermarket is going to make this alot better! I've been watching several videos on the Hurricane truck exhaust systems and some of these companies have really figured out how to make the truck sound awesome. My personal favorite right now is AWE and yes, I feel like when the Charger comes out everyone is going to be focused on the exhaust big time! Personally, I'm going to be watching what Stainless Works has, but the companies I'm truly waiting for are A.W.E (resonated touring), Magnaflow (Street Series or X-Mod with a street series sound level) and Borla (touring). There are already companies making upgrades like cold air intakes, blow off valves, tunes and other things for the Hurricane trucks so personally, I don't think we're going to have alot of issues with this car performance wise or even with customizing and personalizing. Hopefully companies like Vicrez will be just as present with the new Charger as they've been with the previous-gen cars with spoilers, hoods, aero upgrades, wheels, etc. Maybe it's just me but I think this car is truly going to be something special and potentially one of the best cars to ever wear the Charger name.

I see a lot of desperate cope going on in these comments. Make all the excuses you want about mic distance or this is just the stock sound - it doesn't sound good here at all and the amount of noise for how slowly it moved is concerning to me - like some kind Honda civic from the 2000s with a muffler on it. I was unimpressed with the S/O when I drove it but hope it moves the GT Charger well enough to justify the almost guaranteed premium price these things will carry.
