Alfa Romeo reconfirms an E model for '27, predicts max horsepower for BEVs

Big mistake for any brand to go “all electric”. Not opposed to any brand offering an electric option, but for folks like me, a gas powered option is required. If I have to plug it in, I’ll pass. Alfa Romeo May have just issued it’s obituary in North America.

Any Alfa's they sell in the US is just gravy, their primary focus in Europe. It's more trouble than it's worth in trying to shut down Alfa/Fiat than letting in the US than just continuing to sell less than 15K units a year in the US, due to their contractual obligations with anyone who was...eager enough to buy into a Alfa/Fiat dealership franchise. Alfa/Fiat is in zombie mode in the US, and I don't see that changing.

I expect either a Jeep or Chrysler top hat variant on anything Alfa EV based. If you watch the 2021 EV presentation, they allude to this.

It's possible, and the result probably won't look that attractive as the Banshee will be.
Standard automatic, bland wheels, some parts bin items, and so on.
It's big, and it's powerful at near Scat Pack numbers for a base, but it's not some bulky SUV. If it reaches 50k base then it'll probably be the result of it taking sedan form, which doesn't look super likely.

I wouldnt compare power numbers, the new car could be over 1000lbs heavier. Until I hear the weight, the posted power numbers mean nothing.
