Will this engine replace the Hemi? If so in what models? For they're showing a 4-door car in this video.

Not the HELLEPHANT. That engine is a bored up and has a larger IHI supercharger than the engine it is based on the Demon which is based on the HELLCAT.

The production bound 426 "Banshee" HEMI V8 won't debut till the 2022 model year. It will be a replacement for the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 and will be a N/A engine.

I have just recently become a Dodge enthusiast coming over from the Camaro and ZL1 crowd. It's a fun car to own/drive. What's N/A stand for by the way? Thanks once again.

I'm thinking we will see the 426 in the trucks before then ... so maybe 2021 MY ? But not as wild as it will be in the Challenger / Chargers ....

Nope. From what I heard it will not be in this generation of Dodge Charger or Challenger. However, we will see it in the next generation. From what I have heard the first vehicle to show off the new powertrain will be the Rebel TR. It might not be the first to market. But it will be the first to offer the engine for it's first view to the public.

I agree with you Redriderbob about the 426 making it's debut in the Rebel TR. That's what I'm hearing ... but doesn't
that vehicle debut in 2020 MY ?
As per the 426 in the Challenger , I'm still expecting it in the current generation. There are many other motor/drive trains coming for the next gen ....

Maybe 2022 MY for the new Dodge cars? But that’s a year after the new model arrives.

I am not in the loop as far as when it will be launched, I only know it will be in trucks first, with lower output than when it debuts in the next ChallArger.

As time gets closer we will find out the answer .... still a ways out ...
