Dodge’s Charger Daytona Pursuit is shaping up to be a game-changer for law enforcement vehicles, and a new 3D rendering created by Swan3DStudios on Turbosquid offers our best look yet at this highly anticipated model. With production likely starting in 2026, this Pursuit variant promises to combine cutting-edge performance with aggressive styling tailored for the demands of police work.

A battery electric police vehicle would work for dense urban environments, possibly for a dense suburban town, but beyond those specific places it doesn't work out well. If Dodge could fit a decent ICE range extender while retaining both the front and rear e-drive units, then it becomes a different story. Any fleet of plugin vehicles will need an exclusive, dedicated charging network. Look what Amazon does for their electric delivery vans. Their vans charge overnight on level two charging stations. Amazon's charging scheme was built and coordinated with the electric utilities providing the power.

I agree. If the Charger Daytona were a REEV where it wasn't depending on long charging situations it would be ideal. FCA has the GSE-N4, a non-turbo version of the 1.3-liter which produces 100 horsepower (74 kW) of power. Could do something with that.
