2026 Ram 1500 Ramcharger electric pickup promises to have it all

"The goal is to be “slightly higher than” the average transaction price of an internal combustion pickup, Kuniskis said, before launching into an ode to a hypothetical electric pickup priced at $69,985."

That sentence is confusing, but I take that the first part of that sentence is "we'll be slightly above where a full size pickup ASP is today" (as of writing - $50K)

But the second part of that references the cost of a full size BEV Pickup low level trim (the Ram 1500 EV which was delayed until late 2026) - $70K.

So my interpretation is that this will means the Ramcharger will start a dollar below $60K, for the intro trim (makes for good marketing - "below $60K!" Good luck finding one for that price). Mid trims get you into the high $60K / mid $70K range.

It'll be expensive, it effectively has two drive systems in it

I agree, it is going to be expensive but if they can keep it under the $70k mark it should sell quite well, since it has the best of both worlds. If they give it a 10/100k powertrain warranty I think it will boost consumers confidence somewhat.

There’s no way it starts under $60k. I just don’t see it, the benefit is Pentastar is paid for but it still had to be emission certified plus all the electric stuff.

Low level at best it starts at $69, RHO price
