2026 Jeep® Wagoneer Spied With Uncovered Face

New Looks Have Strong Wagoneer S Influence

Just over a week after Jeep® teased the premium 2026 Grand Wagoneer, we’re now getting our first clear look at its more mainstream sibling — the 2026 Wagoneer (WS). New spy shots show the updated model completely uncovered, giving us our best view yet of how Jeep is reshaping its full-size SUV lineup.

Such a improvement. Went from Ramish Jeep... To high premium look that matches its price tag.

Hemi... who cares.... REV.... as fast as possible. For once lets not fall behind.

I don't think I like it. It's still very GM in the lower valance and the rest of it is still too square for the now rounded nose. It just looks odd. But at least they both have the same design signature now.

I'm glad to see that there is a bit of forward momentum moving through the Dodge, Jeep & Ram brands with the new leadership we have now. I'd read a few articles where CEOs have been commenting about the return of the Hemi V8s to the different lineups, and all of that sort of stuff, which is great for the percentage of people who truly enjoy the Hemi V8 and this wonderful brand. I still get a feeling of Pride when thinking of the Mopar brands of the United States and I applaud their improvements and support their daily grind to continue reaching for greatness day in and day out. However this journey is far from over. We still have a brand on life support in absolute critical condition. Our brand of Muscle, Dodge, is showing signs of recovery but still very weak, and empty. Jeep is doing so-so, teeter-tottering between trying to hold everything together from beginners cars and daily drivers, to off-roaders and luxury vehicles. A load that was never meant to be put on the brand in the first place. Lastly we have the Ram brand that continues to bring us the greatest trucks in the World! Period! But there needs to be more. It's time for a true Mopar TAKEOVER! I'm not talking about the bad kind, I'm talking about Mopar taking over the US Auto market and flooding the streets with the cars that we all want!

1.) Get Chrysler off of life support: Bring back the Plymouth names and blend them in with the Chrysler lineup on the STLA Large and STLA Frame platforms. Bring out the Chrysler Satellite as the sister car to the Charger with trim levels such as the Chrysler Satellite GTX, Chrysler Satellite Roadrunner and Chrysler Satellite Superbird. Bring out the Chrysler Barracuda as a luxury pony car aimed directly and destroying the Mustang all while being all around more comfortable and practical. Rename the Jeep Grand Wagoneer the Chrysler Imperial, the Jeep Wagoneer the Chrysler New Yorker and the Wagoneer S, the Chrysler Fifth Avenue. Bring out a minivan on the STLA Large frame named the Chrysler Town & Country, Bring back the Chrysler 300M as the Luxury equivalent of the Charger Daytona Scat Pack EV and the Charger Daytona SRT Banshee. Chrysler could also bring back not only the Aspen SUV and a luxury All-Terrain SUV, the Chrysler Trailduster based off of the Ram Warlock but in SUV form.

2.) Let Jeep be Jeep: Jeep and the Inline-6 and synonymous with each other. Wranglers, Gladiators, Cherokees and Grand Cherokees should all have the 420hp Hurricane I-6 TT S/O as their base engine, followed by the 485hp 392ci V8 and then the 550hp Hurricane I-6 Twin turbo S/O engine. Drop the two-door Wrangler, make the cargo area a little bigger and then the Wrangler becomes a bit more worth while. Cherokee & Grand Cherokee both need to be on the STLA Large platform and both should have longitudinally mounted engines with the new 8-Speed. While the Gladiator is cool, Jeep needs a 1500-series J10 pickup truck. The reason for this truck is simple. It takes away the need for Ram to have the Warlock, the Rebel, the RHO and the TRX. If Jeep is an off-road brand, give it off-road vehicles. Renegade needs to be a trim level on the Wrangler, Gladiator, and J10 pickup. Jeep Recon, fine as an EV, needs a regular hybrid system and a trim level with a 6.4L hybrid under the hood. Drop all of the small Jeeps

3.) RAM: With jeep taking over the off roading side of things, Ram needs a 6.4L Street truck and a Hellcat variant street truck along with the work trucks and luxury trucks of the 1500-series lineup. Now this is not to get into the 2500HD and above line for Jeep. Let that stay what it is.

4.) Dodge, the Brand of the People: First and Foremost UPDATE THAT ANCIENT BEAST KNOWN AS THE DURANGO!!!!!! Engines are fine being all Hemi, put this on the STLA Large platform, give it the new 8-speed, Update styling (hornet like) Update interior (evolution of current blended with Charger). Minor other things. Put the Hornet on the STLA Large frame and make it the same size as a WK Grand Cherokee and have it powered by a 2.0L Hurricane-4 Hybrid with the new hybrid 8-speed transmission as the top tier SRT4 variant pushing 450hp, under that a lesser 2.0L Hurricane-4 EVO hybrid pushing 390hp as the R/T model with a hot-tuned version known as the GLH, and lastly a GT model with the 2.0L Hurricane-4 engine pushing 320hp and that be it! We need a hard nosed stripped down pony car so bring back the Dart and give us a 420hp Hurricane-6 Dart GT, A 550hp Huricane-6 Dart GTS, an 840hp Hellcat powered Dart Demon lastly and a 950hp 7-liter 426 Hemi Dart. The Charger definitely needs to have a few Hemi powertrains with the names 420hp Hurricane powered Charger GT, 550hp Hurricane powered Charger Super Bee, a 797hp 6.2L Supercharged Charger R/T and a 900hp 7-liter Hellephant powered Charger Daytona. Born in the shadows of the Muscle car would be the STLA: Medium cars such as the civic fighting Caliber hatchback, the Rugged Nitro and the Dodge Journey. Let's not forget a people moving Dodge Grand Caravan on the STLA Large platform and lastly a Dodge Ramcharger SUV based off of the Ram Rebel but in SUV form.

5.) SRT & Direct Connection: Take the gloves off, no holds barred, full throttle catalog of in-house performance, styling and accessories for the Mopar Brands as well as some authorized aftermarket upgrades as well. Not only for this new generation of Mopar performance but for the 06 and newer Mopar cars from the 3.6L Pentastar all the way up to the 6.2L Supercharged V8s for all Challengers, Chargers, Magnums, 300s, Durangos, Grand Cherokees and Ram 1500 pickup trucks. Stage kits, engine swap packages, performance parts, exhausts, brake packages, wheels, suspension, lights, aero upgrades, interior upgrades, etc. It's time for this brand to support the entire Brotherhood of muscle, not just the top 1%

6.) Jeep Upgrades: Jeep needs their own boutique catalog of upgrade parts as well, for lift kits, big tires, wheel packages interior and exterior cosmetics and armor, performance and everything else. This brand needs the upgrades it deserves as well.

I liked the original, like the refresh, let’s face it the Wagoneer needed a shot in the arm and more clarity of what it is in the Jeep lineup. I kind of liked the concept of the Wagoneer sub-brand though it may have faltered in the market, but exclusivity must find a way to be communicated to the target demographic.
Swag at purchase, longer warranty, personal service consultant, things that stir the egos and give one an exclusivity buzz. Give the model upscale focused marketing on national TV, it clearly needs the attention. Who doesn’t ?
Stroke them, flatter them, fuss over them and get them the necessary envy attention in a big luxurious Jeep. It’s all in the perception and presentation.

I wonder what the demographic is for people who make the purchasing decision for this vehicle. Offroad minded people who want a high end large SUV? Family friendly kid transport for after school activiites or trips? Dad's who want power and Mon's who want use? People who want a status symbol ?

I'm not knocking the vehicle - but that kind of information may help orient those who ask, why not a Chrysler, or what not Dodge, or RAM or whatever.

If I'm spending $75k on a vehicle - it needs to really do what I need it to do first and then form follows (remember form follows function :) ) . How many 3 row SUV upscale purchasers are there who want to rubicon for example - I'm just ignorant to that and I want to know more before I judge....

Absolutely High Luxury Hauling and People Moving. It is absolute Margin driver are GM and Ford, it is unconscionable that Jeep didn't have a offering.

And No it not Rubicon people. The segment of population that would rated trail a $100K new vehicle.

The reality is the original front didn't match the upscale Demographic.

Quite, refined, Towing, performance, range...... Loud exhaust isn't even on the radar. This way they need to Lead for once and launch the REV as quick as possible.

That makes sense. I know/see a lot of those people. If those are the audience - Chrysler or Dodge could do that.... Is the product decisions here a milking of the veneration of the Jeep brand at the cost of dilution of the brand principles (rubicon)? Has that ship sailed already ?

Absolutely Not, Chrysler reputation as Luxury brand ended under Daimler who made it Plymouth when ending Plymouth, and one might make a Argument that Dodge should have a version it would not draw the Luxury segment margins that a Jeep has....

The physical size is what limits is capability on trails not it dynamics that certainly are capable, if a Crown VIc can it can. The J version was a Luxurious Vehicle at a time when it was inline with that segments size and lets not forget the Jeepster.... The Ship is one those argue against growth of Jeep make that it should be only a Solid Axle off road offering, which is too narrow a Niche. Basically Wrangler,

That ship never existed. JEEP is the highest margin brand in NA no question and Wagoneer belongs as a Jeep. Now should Ram get a version ..... Yes.
