2026 Dodge Journey Continues Its Winning Formula in Mexico

2026 Dodge Journey Continues Its Winning Formula in Mexico

The Dodge Journey continues to prove its strength in Mexico’s highly competitive compact SUV market. For 2026, the Chinese-built model remains a top seller, thanks to its focus on practicality, comfort, and technology — elements that resonate strongly with Mexican families. Although not an entirely new vehicle, the Journey continues to evolve through refinement and consistent performance, reinforcing its reputation as one of Stellantis Mexico’s most successful nameplates.

I really love everything about this Journey. China made or not, if this was available in the U.S., I would be replacing our 2017 Cherokee with it. Love the Cherokee, but this is slightly bigger and looks great. Seems refined inside and outside. I can see why it is selling so well in Mexico.

Amazing. When a car company actually offers cars for sale to the public, it tends to generate…………….. sales! Maybe they should try this magic new formula in America. Its
Hard to say what might happen!

Agreed, but not only offer product for sale but product people actually like and want.

Always been a nice looking vehicle with some problems haunting it. My last manager had one and admired it. Glad to see it survived and most likely had all of it's flaws addressed.

Seems almost like a never ending nightmare, Mexico has a Journey, Brazil a Rampage and a Renegade and we got paper weights in the Wagoneer S and the Charger Daytona, Recon to follow. Is it possible we have gone so far wrong, our pipeline of new product is delayed beyond imagination and what we do have is older than rotten fruit and non competitive on the market and worse than worse, product that is so flawed it makes headlines, bad headlines on a regular basis. We are getting our butts kicked, looking terrible and it’s now causing Mopar fans nightmares in the middle of the day. Bad and depressing. A Chinese Journey, give me a break.
Maybe it’s all just a bad dream.

Has anyone else noticed the 2026 Jeep Cherokee is within inches of having the same length as the old Dodge Journey? The wheelbase length between the two is less than an inch. The next Jeep Compass, if it ever arrives here, is the same length as this Chinese Journey.

A Chinese Journey, give me a break.
Actually, they're giving the Mexican customers a break. They won't be subjected to the poor quality management decisions that plague recent North American products. A decision was made by the smartest executive on the planet (according to himself) to severely cut back the engineering ranks and use engineers from India and Latin America. It was a cost savings move. The debacle of recent battery electric products, which are suffering from software issues, can be traced back to that decision. Many of the American software developers and engineers who initially worked on these programs, and actually live here, are now gone from Stellantis. They were replaced by a help desk based somewhere in India.

When I see the success of the Leap Motors company and what they were able to achieve over such a short time, I have to wonder if we couldn't borrow some of their talent to help with the Dodge and Jeep plugin vehicles. Leap is an in-house brand after all. I doubt the overseas software developers working remotely from India are full time Stellantis employees.

I’ve been saying it for some time. This outfit is toast. Even the billionaire royalty money runs out
Once you burn through it for long enough. We are there. They’ve killed what was left of the “brands”. Enjoy the memories .
