When it comes to classic trucks, few strike a balance between vintage style and modern drivability quite like this 1967 Dodge D200 Sweptline. What makes this truck stand out is not only its original Dodge body but also the extensive custom work that went into creating a one-of-a-kind ride. Purchased by the current owner in 2022, this Sweptline has since been reborn with a mix of hot rod creativity, modern suspension, and timeless muscle under the hood. It is now being offered at no reserve on BringATrailer, with bidding scheduled to end Wednesday, September 10, at 3:14 p.m. EDT.

This article makes me wonder what ever happened to the Direct Connection rolling chassis cars that they were supposed to bring out along with the carbon fiber 70 Charger? To me, it would be cool if Direct Connection brought out several different Mopar models from the '60's and '70's on the STLA Large platform so that people could resto mod them. A list of cars would include
66-74 Mopar B-Body cars (Charger, Coronet, GTX/Roadrunner)
a slightly stretched version of the A-body cars (factory was 111", STLA large runs from 113"-121") (Dart/Duster)
78-79 D100 (Li'l red express)
76-81 Street Van (B100)
mid to late 70s Jeep SJ models (including gladiator pickup, Wagoneer & Cherokee SUVs)
a slightly stretched Ramcharger (74-80 & 81-93)

Vehicles like that with modern plug and play Hemi or Hurricane powertrains, 8-speed transmissions, modern suspensions, and all of the other stuff right from Direct Connection would actually be pretty cool. Basically a bunch of Modern classic resto-mods for the new age
