I like what I came up with; it's a simple refresh, and it still brings the retro cues that people wanted.
That said - It could've been a Chrysler. Obviously I never finished this one, but the idea is there. It 100% could've been a Chrysler Aspen and sold.
And I don't see anything wrong with...
That doesn't surprise me, to be honest.
Hornet - never sold well - I've only seen 2 in the wild, myself, anecdotally.
Charger - isn't selling horribly but not nearly as well as it needs to bc it's out of the price range of people who want something like that and those that can buy one...
Option 3 is restating my option 1 - Consistent management where the investors bank accounts aren't the number one priority.
That said, it's not bad, but I don't think Chrysler has only those two options "rival Cadillac/Lincoln or die." At least that's how it reads in the way you wrote it. It...
The hurricane was designed in Michigan, I'm pretty sure. It's been in development since 2013.
You go to literally ANY car forum or group looking for problems people have and you're gonna find boat loads of anecdotes from people who can't figure out how to work their headlights to people who...
I can see that; but they also don't need to hemorrhage money on the project. It's a little more complicated than banging the hammer against a fender to make it fit by a few millimeters. It needs to be run through the same battery of tests that every car goes through just to federalize it just...
What you also had when sales were through the roof were low prices and far more choices across the Dodge lineup. More Importantly it was before COVID.
That was basically a lifetime ago at this point. Time to come to terms with times changing.
The inline six turbo is a vastly superior engine to...
SRT -- I think they're going to tap the name. I hope they aren't just going to make them ghosts of what SRT was.
It started with the Neon. Dodge needs to get back to its basic, mainstream vehicles. Yes, that means not everything is gonna have a Hemi, but most if not everything will have a...
So what you're saying -- is they have two choices.
🞜Get some consistency in management across the board. Management that realizes pleasing the bank accounts of investors isn't going to last very long if they don't fix the actual problems with how the company is being treated in the US.
🞜 Or Let...
And the last one -- A recon headlight & grille flip. I have disliked the Recon's front signature look since the first time I saw it. It was too Chinese-Cherokee looking for me. Like a knock-off. I thought it was just the grille being shorter than the headlights, but that alone just made it look...
Back to the Compass, this time, making it a Dodge.
And to make it a little more Dodge. Cleaned up the sides and corners, took cues from a concept almost nobody's seen to give the headlights some personality, and then lowered it a little.
Speaking of Wagoneer S -- or it's very close brother, Cherokee. I swapped in the Wagoneer S Trailhawk's lower valance since they are very closely related vehicles; simple change, makes a lot of difference, IMO.
Makes it less busy up front, anyway.
Next, we come up the timeline to Compass. Just playing with this one, really. I didn't even lift it. Just gave it the American-Market red hooks, a beefier wheel and tire package (From Wagoneer S Trailhawk) with some graphics added for fun.
Sometimes I just think that Dodge's design crew spends too much time trying to differentiate just for the sake of it. In the case of the ICE Charger, it just reminds me of braces for some reason. I also think of the people that'll be driving these years on and have these faded pieces of plastic...
Next I'll show you a few variations of the Jeep Avenger. One Dodge, one Chrysler.
First, of course, you know the Jeep variation:
Now to add a little Dodge flavor.
Then bring it back to Chrysler, though obviously I haven't finished this one yet. I tend to bounce around when I'm working on...
The next one, is far less complicated. A Renegade made out of a Recon.
Here's the Original image, I'm sure you all are familiar with:
And the baby brother, adding the 'blade' styling that was unique to Renegade, as well as changing the front clip to something a little squarer, isolating the...
Some of you who are at allpar have probably already seen them; but I'm dropping 'em here regardless.
For Jeep, we'll start with my personal favorites, the Grand Wagoneer. A refresh. Lighting, and a D-pillar fix mostly.
Original image is first, as usual.
Now onto the refresh with a...
You might know me from Allpar; but I decided to pop in here after discussions on the youtube channel. I've done a lot of renderings over at allpar but I figure I might as well hop over and share a few here.
I've got small fleet between my husband and I. (Like any gearhead, right?)
Plymouth...
