    Why Can't Stellantis Build A Next-Gen HEMI® Engine?

I pretty much agree with you on everything, but I still find it hard to believe that Ram isn't secretly working on a large displacement, naturally aspirated, cast iron block (or CGI) pushrod V8 engine for their HD pickup line. I obviously have no knowledge, but I think it would be very risky...

    Why Can't Stellantis Build A Next-Gen HEMI® Engine?

I don't see an all aluminum engine being used in HD service anywhere else, but I'm not an expert and could be wrong.

    Why Can't Stellantis Build A Next-Gen HEMI® Engine?

I highly doubt that the I6 Hurricane will ever end up in the HD Trucks, so they're going to need to update their V8 engine offering in the HD Trucks at some point no matter what. Maybe we'll start to hear something about a new HD Truck V8 engine program AFTER the UAW contract is negotiated. And...

Next-Gen Durango Replacement, More Than Likely Won't Use Stealth Name

It seems that FCA and now Stellantis learned more from the last bankruptcy cycle than their Michigan contemporaries. My guess is they are not eager to repeat the mistakes of the past by focusing on negative margin products. I think FCA/Stellantis has wisely chosen to delay new product in...

The problem of electric cars for the middle class. In conversation with Carlos Tavares

Here we are in the 21st century, extolling the virtues of an 18th century modern of transport. My guess is that spending gobs of money (or eminent domain) to acquire land to build rail infrastructure is like trying to drive cross country in reverse using only your mirrors. If one truly...

The problem of electric cars for the middle class. In conversation with Carlos Tavares

What about fattening the bottom line of those in Europe who build the public transportation system? Do we not count those as well? Same crap gets served all over the world, just different seasoning.

I am hearing they are rethinking the end of the V8 for Charger/Challenger

That's certainly one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is to note that they always said "last call for current generation." and most likely had been considering keeping a V8 in the lineup for the next generation for a while already, but tried to keep it quiet while they sold out...

BREAKING: Windsor Will Begin Building A New Electrified Vehicle In 2024:

So let me get this straight... When I grew up as a kid in the 70's and 80's, that is, back when they were still purely American owned, Dodge had NO V8 Muscle cars. No vocational trucks. I never saw Dodge Tow trucks or utility trucks. I once saw a 60's Power Wagon at a country gas station, but...

BREAKING: Windsor Will Begin Building A New Electrified Vehicle In 2024:

I read elsewhere, from someone I believe was at one time on the inside, that Ram has been working on a new 7.5L V8 for the upcoming new/refreshed HD Rams in the next year or two. That post was from 2 years ago just after Ford unveiled their new 7.3L V8. So it is entirely possible that when...

3L I6 Tornado Hybrids for Cherokee (KM), Grand Cherokee (WL74), and Grand Cherokee L (WL75), Wagoneer and Wagoneer L (WS) are a go

I read yesterday that Ford announced a new 6.8L V8 engine for their upcoming Super duty, replacing the 6.2L. This coming shortly after they introduced the 7.3L V8 for those trucks. This makes me wonder if maybe FCA is secretly working on a new V8 of their own for RAM HD trucks. Right now...

End of an era: New Fiat Doblo production shifts to Spain from Turkey

I wonder if Ram might replace the Doblo based van with a Scudo based van. Just a thought.

Stellantis & Samsung SDI Invest Over $2.5 Billion For Lithium-Ion Battery Production Plant In U.S.!

I would take a guess that there is a bit of risk management in diversifying your supply chain by choosing to use two different suppliers. Best not to put all your eggs in one basket.

VW Reportedly Bringing Back Scout Brand With Electric Pickup And SUV

I am sad to hear this. I had been hoping Case/New Holland would have purchased Navistar to combine them with Iveco, but VW's Man/Scania scooped them up instead. It would have been nice to have Navistar in the extended family of brands, but that obviously didn't happen.

    New charger?

Wouldn't the next gen Pacifica need to be on STLA Large? It's a pretty large vehicle, with the interior volume which would benefit from every last bit of additional range offered by the largest platform.

Wow, thank you so much for the detailed reply. I now understand the situation much better.

Stellantis Electric Vehicle Day on July 8, 1 hour before Wall Street open

True, but I'm asking about what will they do a few years from now. My question is, will the FCA/PSA full size vans continue on their current unique platform, or will they migrate over to one of these new STLA electrified platforms? I'm curious what the answer to that question is.

Stellantis Electric Vehicle Day on July 8, 1 hour before Wall Street open

My first question is, will Ducato continue using it's own unique van platform, or will it be folded in with one of the new STLA platforms? If it's going to be on one of the new STLA Platforms, I don't see how it could be on STLA Large. Look at the dimension ranges they specified for STLA...

Stellantis Electric Vehicle Day on July 8, 1 hour before Wall Street open

I don't think changing the name from Fiat Professional to RAM will cause it to lose customers. I do agree that not every product should be micromanaged from North America. Doesn't make any sense to do that, and I seriously doubt they would. As for the Promaster and Daily, I understand why...
