HA - the durango is a truck....good one. I own a durango and i own a truck. The durango is not a truck. The unibody does not haul or tow like a truck, despite their GVWR being similar on paper. It does good for what it is - no question. Everyone that rides with us complements our durango.
All...
A) Durango is not much for offroad though the RT at least and maybe citadel V8? has same t-case as Grand Cherokee. Too much low plastic. Larger tires have helped slightly. It does do good in snow. No alternate terrain settings.
B) Durango is definitely not a truck. I have a durango and a truck...
Hello - I have a 2015 Durango RT in my sig - i know the driving differences between them and choose accordingly with my own hard earned money.
They have very little to no difference in utility, interior space - things important to most people in the market for this segment. Durango is actually...
In regards to dimensions, utility, interior space, etc they are practically the same vehicles. But you are actually proving my point. There is no reason this new CUV has to go from 3 rows down to 2 if they maintain a proper "performance" oriented or available offering (which is sounds like they...
The only difference b/w the GM "minivans" like acadia/traverse you berate and the current dodge durango is looks, V8, RWD bias. Explorer just copied current durango, so there is something right with the formula. So now the Durango is going BOF and with it will come decreased "performance"...
How many 3 row SUVs does GM have LOL Not saying we should follow their example though
FCA is adding 3 new 3 rows to jeep by my rumor count (GC 3 row, wagoneer, grand wagoneer). Why cant Dodge at least maintain their 2? And when Durango moves BOF dodge will not have a smaller unibody 3 row when...
True, but that is no different then the vast majority of 3 row SUVs out here, including some fullsize (tahoe). Its part of the reason i own a durango instead of a Journey.
Then to me, this doesn't replace the gap that will be left by the journey at all - it won't be decently priced, and it wont have 3 rows, and it is not utility oriented.
Sounds like the new chrysler - if we get it - will be what replaces the journey.
Dodge sells a lot of cheap low margin...
I'm probably in the minority, but..
The appeal of the current Journey is an entry priced 3 row SUV. The world does not need another "me too" 4 door 2 row crossover - chrysler, dodge, or otherwise.
If dodge goes 2 row only then it had better be legitimately performance biased with better...
Exactly. 3 years in on our Durango RT. Very seldom i glance at the MPG and wonder what the 3.6 would be getting. Very frequently I dream about upgrading to the SRT.
The knob on my laramie feels much better than the knob on my durango RT. I prefer the location on the Ram as opposed to the location on the Durango and have not yet mistaken it for volume or HVAC controls. Also, the wife has mistakenly rotated the 4wd range knob into low on our durango at least...
That really looks great. Minus maybe the snorkel
Had the same thoughts as you @Ryan as why bother with flow through letters on this concept. Wonder if the rails, wheels, and bumpers are also possible for production. Wouldn't that be something if the TRX came with a winch...
Where does the...
How many of the 18k last quarter are returning customers? How many are brand new/conquest customers? I don't know, but current car is selling. They'll update the interior when its needed. I think they may have tweaked it for 2020 on some models?
Wait i though challenger and charger havent been getting the attention they deserve and need all new interiors to compete?
It just can't be possible that they outsold the competition....:)
I'm talking a Ram 700ish to Fiat Toro type of truck. Whether its a "metric ton" or not i could care less as it wouldn't be rated that way in the US any way. Don't see why it has to be a BOF - we have the gladiator to fill that midsize spot already.
Isn't the Toro unibody? Maybe i'm wrong on...
