I think the masses have spoken and they don't want to have anything to do with electrification in their "muscle" cars. If Stellantis wants to work toward these new tech type of solutions for regular sedans and SUVs, fine. But for enthusiast vehicles they need Gen IV Hemi powertrains and they...
It's a shame, because the Recon is the Jeep that actually intrigued me.
I wish they'd make it PHEV and give it more range than the Wrangler 4xe. Do the electric only range at like 50 miles, power it with a reliable ICE, and price it competitively and I will go test drive one tomorrow.
Looks pretty tight in the back seat. But then again the prior model was also. I never understood why the sedan version had no knee room advantage over the coupe version of the LX based cars, now the new Charger carries that forward. Sigh...
I love Italian food. It's the best.
I want nothing to do with anything automotive from Europe as a whole. The BMW/MINI stuff we've had over the years has been pure junk. If you look at the "Chrysler" brands specifically, all of the disasters they've faced in recent memory are tied to Europe...
It's going to be REALLY interesting to see how many Sixpack versions they can sell. Assuming they price it right on top of Ford Mustang GT, I am very eager to see if sales are good or if my suspicions are true and people still gravitate toward a V8 if money is equal.
We are not for EV adoption if by "adoption" you mean "mandated" which is what our previous administration was trying to do. Nobody wants expensive and inconvenient vehicles forced upon them. If companies want to try and make EVs they can sell, let them go for it. Capitalism. But the...
The Hornet was one of the biggest flops in all of automotive news over the last 3 years, so now they're going to try again with a larger (read: more expensive) model? Seriously? Are these people brain dead?
They need more affordable options, not the other way around.
I disagree. And apparently most other people do judging by the sales numbers.
There is more to a car than numbers on paper. Owning one of these cars is an experience. The sound when you turn the key (or push the button) each morning. The rumble and shake of the car as it cold idles. Rowing...
Five years ago we said "it'll be a LONG time before anything EV goes mainstream and outnumbers ICE vehicles, if we even see it in our lifetimes." Looks like that was an accurate statement.
That's a Honda with a 7 slot grille. Ick. There isn't one single attribute that's "unmistakably Jeep" about that thing.
The worst thing about our 2018 Cherokee was the 2.0L engine. Drank gas like it had a bad habit because it didn't make enough power for the vehicle and so RPMs had to be up...
Build a Ram 1500 with a "heavy payload package" like Ford used to do. That would be very neat.
Also, a midsize truck that actually looks good and has a great off-road package to compete with Ford, GM, and Toyota would be very nice.
Make the 6.4 Hemi available on ALL trim levels of Ram 1500...
Astonishing. Three years ago Dodge lead the segment in sales and popularity. Today they can't give a car away if they beg. This is a downfall of historic proportion.
They screwed the pooch so bad here that I'm starting to wonder if even the Hemi comeback can save this train wreck. If I were...
I would have not had an issue at all with a Stratus, or Concorde, or Avenger that is BEV. That would have been the correct way to do this. Build a car that's just a really nice sedan, EV, and affordable to take Tesla on directly. That would have sold. That would have made sense. Just make a...
My father ordered a 2002 model to use as his personal business truck. He's a heavy equipment mechanic. So he ordered the cab & chassis and then added a utility bed to it later. 5.9 H.O. engine / NV5600 trans. He ended up selling that truck at 318,000 miles and regretted it every day since...
It is truly amazing how short sighted so many people are. And sadly, they reproduce.
But, so as to not get banned from this forum like I did the DNC Allpar forum, I'm checking out of this thread now. On to something else....
