Then Lee tried to un-retire and considered taking over Chrysler in the mid-90s which scared Eaton.
Its impossible for such behavior at Stellantis and Ford because of the voting+corporate governance powers of the
Elkann's-Agnelli's+Peugeot families(Stellantis) and Ford Family(Ford).
I don't think you are reading either that or you missing manufacturing/industrial logic .....the Maverick is related to the Transit, and If you paid attention Ford execs they promote the fact that much of it is off the shelf.
Please read the post again.."Maverick is an "margin & capacity utilization (Fiesta)" exercise ".
In the same plant , Ford went from having a B-Class Fiesta in the same plant to a higher priced vehicle with on the shelf technology the Maverick.
Toyota discontinuing the Venza speaks for itself.
And Lee made it more easier with "Dodge Truck" being a separate agreement with dealers.
Don't know why folks don't realize the Maverick is an "margin & capacity utilization (Fiesta)" exercise and Toyota got rid of the Venza for more margin models like Grand Highlander and Crown Signia while...
And the Midsize crossover (D segment) KM will have Blazer,Murano... with Edge exiting.. it won't be Jeep's best seller by a long mile.

What FCA-Stellantis has in mind is closer to the Honda...
Your Post makes zero sense. These are products for the Middle East, South America and Mexico.
Belvedere is being remodeled or an all new plant.
No John Elkann regardless of the CEO isn't going to approve company resources for low margin projects for North America, or stuff that leads to fines &...
Journey was discontinued, and because it was break even vehicle, when it went out of the mix profits margins in North America improved.
FCA sold the Journey as a FIAT not Jeep in other markets(still don't change it being a Daimler mistake).
The Journey should have never been made by Daimler, it was break even product hence the company got a margin boost when it was out of production.
Durango isn't a blue collar product, in fact they glad it gets $50K Average Transaction price and has been channel into a unique...
Wouldn't blame the French at all.
You have had 3 CEO's who all say Jeep is the main brand in North America: meaning John Elkann, the Chairman, second highest paid Employee (FIAT/FCA/Stellantis), and largest investor also thinks Jeep is the main brand in North America.
Why should Dodge & Chrysler...
Can't tell if Charger is "well received" until it fully launched which won't be until fall 2025, so 2026 will be the first year to pass judgement.
Any other argument/claim falls under "Wish-Failing" before production!
