    Should Stellantis Build a Smaller HEMI® V8?

Just my opinion.... What Stellantis needs to do is take notes from Ford. When Ford decided to build a V8 to carry them through the 2010s and into the 2020s, they not only built it to flow a TON of air (i.e., superior horsepower per liter) but they also made it 5.0 liters in displacement. This...

AUCTION: 10K-Mile 2008 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie Dually

If that had been a pre-emissions model year it would really be special. Unfortunately the 2008 model year was one of the worst ever as they were trying to sort out DEF and DPF.

New 8-Speed Transmission Coming To Dodge Charger SIXPACK

If your ZF 8-speed failed that often there was something else causing it. These transmissions are bulletproof. I've had several with zero issues and my current one in my Jeep Grand Cherokee has 199,700 miles on it as of today and shifts like it's brand new.

Charger Daytona delayed? Prototypes supposedly failing.

What design issues? Are you talking about the valvetrain/lifter ticking that's caused by the multiple changes to increasingly thin oils over the years despite not changing the engine internals? That's not an inherent engine design issue in my opinion. That's a product of trying to please the...

Stellantis ready to axe brands [Reuters] - Erik and Dave @ Allpar in bunker mode

Ram/Jeep/Dodge sales numbers vs. competitors were the best of our entire lifetimes under Sergio, and some of us are getting old. You can say what you want about the guy, but he made Dodge not only socially acceptable again, but socially preferable.

Election Day 2024: The Future of America’s Auto Industry

100%. EVs are not a problem. The problem is that our current administration has tried to ram-rod them down our throats. Let the OEs build a suitable mix to provide what people WANT and simultaneously maintain a portfolio that makes business sense!

Charger Daytona delayed? Prototypes supposedly failing.

Yes ^^^^ and I'll add to that with the way they started advertising and talking about this car THREE YEARS ago. It has taken them absolutely forever to get this thing to market and here we are 7 weeks from the end of 2024 and still don't have a single one at a dealership. It's ridiculous...

why no HO550hp engine in the four door Charger?

My assumption was that they want to keep some separation between coupe and sedan. The current cars are the same way. Challenger has always been viewed as the top performance model with a stronger 5.7 Hemi (tuning) and a manual transmission, whereas Charger is stuck with a lower tuned 5.7 Hemi...

STLA sightings rage on! RAM 1500 REV caught this time.

Maybe on a drag strip, with drag radial tires, in perfect conditions. But all the Scat Packs I run into on the street have nothing for my old 2013 Mustang GT, and the GT is a mid to high 12 second car. I have never understood why, but Dodge cars never run the times you would expect based on...

STLA sightings rage on! RAM 1500 REV caught this time.

Going to be interesting to see how many of these they can move at $85k. The one pictured in post #124 looks great. Looks very Dodge. I like it. But... EV ... ick and $85k...ick ick.

Charger Daytona delayed? Prototypes supposedly failing.

It's nearly November. WHEN are they actually going to price and start selling the new Charger? This is getting ridiculous. They've been talking about it for 3 years and advertising it for 2. What is going on?

Stellantis CEO Tavares Plans Major Management Shakeup

The product they were putting out until Stellantis took the reins was propelling the company to heights they had never seen before....outselling NEW Mustang and Camaro offerings with the outdated Challenger, pushing Ram past Chevrolet for the first time ever, and putting Wranglers in every...

    Hurricane for JL Wrangler?

I got a '18 or '19 model JL Wrangler as a loaner once while my Jeep was in the shop. It had the 2.0T engine. I was extremely impressed with power and MPG. Felt very strong, much stronger in "feel" than the 3.6 P-star engine. MPG was also great as I saw low 20s while I had it, compared to...

NHTSA Investigates Jeep® Wrangler and Gladiator for Engine Fire Risk

Which engine are we talking about here? I traded my 2021 Gladiator EcoDiesel in with around 15,000 miles on the clock and leased a Ram 1500. The people who bought my Gladiator had it for a few months and it caught fire on them. They were driving when it happened, so they were able to pull...

    Hurricane for JL Wrangler?

Pure speculation at this point, but the Pentastar engine is getting old. All the changes you're seeing in the U.S. market is solely emissions driven. I personally believe they are going to slowly phase out the 3.6 P-star going forward.

Ram Shows Its 2025 Heavy Duty Before Official Unveiling

They don't mind showing it off because we saw that truck 17 years ago. Nothing to hide. I'm still holding out hope of seeing a new Ram HD lineup before I'm in a nursing home one day. I believe it can happen!

Dodge Launches Charger Daytona Ordering, But There’s A Catch

Right. You know what they say about first impressions. First impressions are everything. Why would you release the new car in EV form only, knowing full well that most buyers don't want EV and ALL buyers of muscle cars don't want EV? The I6TT version of the car will have at least a little...

Dodge Launches Charger Daytona Ordering, But There’s A Catch

Random side note: That picture is the color they are calling "After Dark" and it looks exactly like "Patriot Blue" that's been on the Ram trucks since the beginning of time. Looks like that color is FINALLY going to also make it to the Jeep Wrangler under the name "Fathom Blue". Don't know...

Ford Is Looking To Take Over Where Dodge Left Off

This @MotorMaven person has to be kidding. $19 a gallon? So what are we going to do to make up for the irreparable damage caused to the planet by these mineral mines? What about the run-away lithium fires? I was just talking to a union electrician last week who has been assigned to work on...
