I get it, on paper, but a turbocharged DOHC 5.6L "340" would have kept the momentum going and would have been pretty much limitless to how much power they could have made from it. Going from 392 / Hellcat to EV and I6 may be a bridge too far for Charger buyers
Would you buy a diesel hybrid kit and convert an older truck? Small Cat diesel under the hood connected to a generator where the transmission would go and uses E-axles
Edison Motors
People really rallying around Edison Motors - doing the same, diesel electric logging trucks and now entering into conversions for older trucks. Their mantra is build trucks to last 30 years... making a stir on youtube, even the gov't trying to get a 20% grant kick back for approval, huge fiasco
Going to be a brutal wake up call when people naturally crank up the boost on them, they clearly built them as cheap as possible. 2JZ's from 1992 have made 1000WHP on stock internals, factory rated 320hp.

How long can this clueless leadership team be allowed to keep running this into the ground??
The clowns at Daimler and Cerberus carved out hundreds of engineers and once Sergio came in he said it...
It took awhile to go from the tier 1 factory floor (Toyota) to the boardroom (Toyota, Nissan, Mercedes). You didn't answer my question about Alfa sales, is that because you have no clue what you're talking about?
Clown? Lol. Marchionne predicted 170,000 Alfa sales globally in 2017. How many did they sell in 2023? I, unlike you, actually worked in the industry for 25 years, but lets keep this going.
No, it means you're over invested in this turd and now scared, it comes through in your posts. The sales of the charger are going to evaporate - and you know that. Their 2030 number was made up just like the Alfa sales projections, you probably didn't know that though because you don't know...
Selling an EV only Dodge Charger is the definition of "ALL IN" whether you like it or not. I suggested they mention on the 5th that there will be a gas version coming. By not mentioning it they will be setting a precedent that the car will only ever be EV and potentially damage its reputation...
I can believe that. The decision to go all in on EV's was likely made 2-3 years ago and only now are we seeing backtracking. I think it would be safe to say that the I6 version is now being "hurried" along and they would be very wise to mention this on the 5th.
Mergers = death. They have proven nothing but a short term fat bank account, then a bunch of the management losers golden parachute and the rest fails horribly. Never see any "merger" as a good thing. Its just a robbery (Bob Eaton...anyone???). If Tavares is ALREADY calling for this it is a...
Puff puff pass. You'll be seeing 1000WHP Chargers by this time next year by guys just upping the boost and tuning. The Banshee wont even matter when its this easy to make the same power with the hurricane, mark my words
Yes, but its a generation that mostly drives around alone and likely doesn't care about the rear doors. More people drive alone now than they did in the 60's and 70's. As long as the Challenger stays distinct enough from the charger it could probably co-exist, but thats if they were both ice...
'Stellantis appears to be in serious trouble. CDJR brands just can’t seem to sell cars like they used to. This isn’t a new problem, either. Stellantis has led the list of slowest-selling cars for months on end.
In February, Stellantis brands dominate the list for the sixth month in a row. This...
