If the plant could make the Ram 1500, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and maybe something else just for Canada it'll run 24/7. Are they able to do that with a "flex plant" ?
(may be a moot point if most of the parts are getting drilled with tariffs)
Maybe electric car buyers dont want to buy from legacy brands? And legacy brand fans dont want legacy brands selling EVs? They may need a "Saturn" type brand and make that all EV, and then sell them through established CDJR dealerships. I know I know, too many brands - but this might be a case...
I'd bring something that competes with the new Integra
The Type S packs 320hp but its FWD. Dodge could do a 400hp AWD SRT (and a 220hp FWD volume model)
Nice designs but they just see these as stealing sales from the vehicles they are based on, hence why Chrysler currently has nothing except the van. They need to break ground on a new segment first, then design the vehicle after. I would do a Chrysler version of the Promaster van that...
I wish them the best, and I am glad to see some US production commitments but at the same time they need to be very careful following any new trends and watch what Toyota is doing. Toyota never fell for the "all in" EV trap and they also aren't moving any production from Canada. Its expensive...
Makes lots of sense if its indeed true that the 5.7 is cheaper for them to build than the pentastar (and there are no more CAFE fines to worry about). I figure they realize its too old to compete with 6 cyl SUVs or they'll just push you into a GC if you want a 6.
5.0 Cummins was Fred Diaz baby. He was "in charge" of Ram under FCA when they got nicer interiors and a slew of other upgrades after the Tupperware "just build it as cheap as possible" Daimler days.
He must have attributed Rams success to himself and not the storied brand itself, because he...
She never had any teeth and was just a brand spokesman IMO. If she was hired to do more than that it certainly didnt show or (more likely) her product ideas were never taken seriously
Its enough money that it sounds like it wont be using the battleship Charger platform

They did all the last call cars (incl demon 170) with 50 million
From AI. And just in, it looks like they have 10 billion ready to invest in new products and one of them is a new V8 muscle car. I guess we get to speculate on what that'll be
With a 392 and a ZF it'll come in roughly the same weight as the AWD hurricane model, 4800 and change. The hemi is 200lbs heavier than the hurricane. The AWD system is 200lbs
EDIT. Its the hellcat thats 200lbs heavier. The 392 is 141lbs heavier
