What do you want? This is the only remaining company offering V6s and V8s. And that is exactly what I want - RWD based vehicle, frame or unibody, with a V6 or V8. I will never buy any other vehicle that doesn't have these characteristics.
I could care less how old the body in white / vehicle...
Absolutely horrific product planning circa 2020-2021 + Tavares caused this.
If they would have listened to my product planning posts on this forum, they would not be in the mess they are in now.
The next mess is the 2026 Grand Cherokee four banger EVO-T4 disaster.
As I’ve stated in previous...
“Dodge will adapt by limiting EV sales to custom orders for the 2026 model year, our sources say.”
Literally called it, along with the EV program being cancelled by the 2027 MY.
Damn I am good 😎
Dodge sales were down 20K units on the quarter, because existing Charger/Challenger inventory is dwindling. That's a good chunk of the 12% decline.
Renegade discontinuation and Wagoneer decline also played a big part.
From a volume standpoint when you factor in the discontinuation of the old...
Tell me - other than Wagoneer (which is close to breaking even), what vehicle program incurred losses?
Because it sure as hell wasn't the Charger, Challenger, Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, Gladiator, Durango, or Ram 1500 during their V6 and V8 powertrain years.
There are only 702 old L-platform 2023 SXT Chargers (in new condition) available nationwide at this time - 2023 Charger SXT Nationwide
Thanks for playing, lol - come on man, try harder.
At what point did FCA or Stellantis make money on "affordable, high value cars that meet the needs of everyday consumers for economy, durability and reliability at a price they can afford.", that weren't Wranglers/Gladiators, Grand Cherokees, Durangos, or Ram 1500s?
Seriously - tell me, what...
Billions of EV losses don't portend a viable business model. Tell me which powertrains / vehicles are subsequently viable in a future Stellantis portfolio.
Here's mine -
Jeep
Wrangler / Gladiator - Custom STLA Frame - V8, V6 MHEV, PHEV, REEV / Toledo
Grand Cherokee Five and Seven Passenger -...
Because the dealers know they have a captive audience - they aren't making V8s anymore, and they subsequently price them as an 'limited edition' item. Once they're gone, they're gone. And when they come back, they'll be more expensive than what they are now because the Hemi is made in Mexico...
When there’s a Republican president again in 2028, EVs will finally die - thankfully.
Because there is no plausible scenario in which anyone is making money selling EVs in the US, except for Tesla, because there is no way to make money with a powertrain whose cost is an order of magnitude...
They can easily build V6 MHEVs, V8, four cylinders, whatever they want without repercussions - today. Because that’s what we voted for. Remember though - there is no free lunch with electrification.
The money makers in the modern era (2010-2020) have all had V6-V8s.
The CX-50 offers an interesting demonstration on what's possible for a Mild Hybrid - https://www.motortrend.com/reviews/2025-mazda-cx-50-hybrid-first-test-review/
But to your point - no one is really taking a stab at Mild Hybrids in E-segment Unibody SUVS, yet. GM's trio (Acadia, Enclave...
