GME T4 EVO seems like a major improvement over GME T4 D in every metric but no so over GME T4 M.
Of course I do believe that real life fuel economy improvement will be substantial in real driving conditions over any current version.
Still I do believe that for large cars, RWD large cars...
I'm fine with turbo engines. Long in the tooth here in Europe. Actually I own one. Turbo petrol engine, tiny one. On the open road it can hit mid 40 mpg on average.
For highway one can buy higher capacity (turbo) engine or just opt for a diesel. Still for constant high speeds there is no better...

So... It seems that 1.6 has 177 HP. Not much. And electric part gives roughly 40 HP. That's not much for a HEV.
I don't know if it's Miller or not. Compression ratio?
Comparing this to Renault HEV which has small 1.2 turbo has only 130 HP for a total of 200 HP.
But Renault has a 2 kWh battery...
Uf... Where to start.
Ah, yes.
Platform.
It's STLA Large LP2. One for transversely mounted internal combustion engine capable of mechanical AWD which is something not offered by French sourced platforms.
Now about the actual car.
Styling is... It could be better, Compass is better. But I...
@patfromigh
Hmh... Although ex PSA may say that some of their engines are running on Miller cycle I have my doubts because of compression ratio.
On the other hand ex FCA had Miller cycle engine up and running. 1.5 turbo with 160 HP.
Of course in HEV configuration such engine with electric...
This segment in US is all but compact for exterior dimensions. It's a proper midsize, more or less.
This is sole engine. At least for now. Classic Tavares induced move.
Punch and it's not a DCT, at least not a classic one with preselected gears.
From what I know it has 4 physical gears or reductor. Depending on application it has 6 or 7 operational gears.
For 48V MHEV it's 6, for PHEV it's 7.
And yes, it's Punch.
@patfromigh
I'm not sure about transmission. I believe it's a Punch bit it seems it's a high voltage hybrid and there is a rumour that the same or similar powertrain is considered for use on STLA Medium products in Europe.
