Well it’s simple there’s only two other truck similar to this available for sale right now in NA, they need at least 4 or 5 more companies to build first so they can test the waters.
I think this truck only looks good from straight on the front and back, the side pictures always has the back...
I fully agree this door handle release system is a deal breaker for me, it’s absolutely unnecessary especially with all the other electrical quirks these cars are having.
I think the styling of this 4 door looks alright, but on the 2 door model i think the rear roof section (c pillar?) should be about 10 inches forward from where it is, this would give a trunk that’s twice as long than it is now.
But maybe the hatch back design wouldn’t allow it.
But we can’t...
As much as i like the look of this rendering today of a possible Dakota I sure hope they have a more modern idea for the actual truck, by 2028 the current Ram 1500 design will be 10 years old and better be significantly updated by then.
I have to disagree that the last Dakota was under...
I believe they are paying her 2 to 3 million a year for her Stellar performance. It’s absolutely mind boggling how people land these jobs and produce nothing but lip service. Time to get some results to market already.

It would need the 392 SRT spec engine to be relavent, or its would be a really expensive Rebel.
Ram needs to focus on a real Steet truck and a Dakota replacement to capture a larger crowd, but knowing them they will let everyone else flood the market while they are thinking about it.
I am happy they are bringing back the Hemi in the trucks and hopefully other vehicles aswell, but i would sure like that Etorque and auto start to be and option.
Cant wait for the 6.4 in a sport truck with around 500 Hp.
Now that is a very good looking Jeep, i just hope it does better than the Dodge Hornet once it hits North America.
375 horse power and 2287 torque no one will miss the diesel i am sure, thats twice the torque of the new Cummins in the heavy duty Ram
This is exciting and much needed news for Ram and their customers right now and it really needed.
Not sure why these products were not considered before and they are probably still two years away minimum they better get it right.
I hope they get the styling right on the new Dakota sized...
