Enough time has passed for Fiat to relaunch the brand, especially with a small electric car. Lessons should have been learned in round one. Instead of a launch theme of cute, launch with reliability and practicality. Instead of a launch with just one model, launch with three or four that adreeses a larger audience of compact buyers who may need more than the original 500 has to offer. Frankly, electric and three doors is a relative game changer for the 500. These sub compact and compact vehicles don’t mesh with Dodge or Alfa Romeo or Chrysler, Maserati or Jeep, but for Fiat the fit can be perfect. Key here is a quality RANGE of compact products that puts the “Fix It Again Tony” joke to rest and demonstrating what everyone else it seems to know around the globe, Fiat IS the brand that knows small, practical and yes “cute”.
