Maybe I'm biased and have no ground, but I do believe that GME/GSE engines are much better than PSA EP engines.
I wish they can offer the 1.3 GSE PHEV in Alfa Junior/Jeep Avenger and offer 2.0 GME PHEV in Tonale/Hornet.
And that's the biggest issue.
The Japanese and Korean have already established themselves in the market, and unless your value per dollar, whether it's equipment, performance or total packaging, beat them, you won't draw the average consumer attention.
If AEV is testing the 4Xe Hurricane I6 HO with their Lvl.2, then it’s either coming soon with the current JL or the next generation.

Ram started using a catchy phrase ""I hear the storm is coming,".
Problem is Hurricane is marketed differently with each brand. SST, HO/SO or SixPack.
But I agree with having a catchy logo
Because Ram's I6 Cummins proved over the years, that it can hold or better than the competitors' V8s.
At this point, Hurricane I6 is promising on paper, but it needs time to prove itself against GM's and Ford's V8 in term of durability and tuning potential for further performance.
I hear you, but the management isn't interested in spending R&D money. At least, not the current one.
Remember, there was a rumor about HEMI update with 7.0l and I would be interested to see how much HP/TQ, MPG and emissions this engine would have made vs the HO Hurricane.
Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Chrysler would need to sell both EV and ICE, if they want to succeed on the long term.
We have seen the governments pushing hard on EV just to back track when they realized the technology, infrastructure and people are not ready.
ICE technology is much matured and it keep...
That platform and ICE engines choices are totally inferior to SCCS/SWUS platform and GSE engine family.
One is made with cost reduction in mind, while the other is to excel.
Guess which one Stellantis is widely adopting?
