Dodge is looking to make some noise this weekend as the 10th annual MotorTrend Presents Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge kicks off. The brand has teased that it will reveal a new “muscle” vehicle on Friday, August 8th, and for a company that’s been struggling in 2025, this moment couldn’t come soon enough.

Well since that car under cover isn’t an official Dodge media release could it just be an AI rendering? Here is the official dodge release and see how they use the charger. Come on guys we all know it’s a Charger hurricane ice version

It is an AI rendering... stay tuned at 11:00 am tomorrow

Well that was anticlimactic….. zero Charger news

Great news about Durango going all HEMI and 392 rt at least

At least the I6 Charger only weighs 4816lbs!

Thats only 216lbs more than a Redeye Charger and only 257hp less. What progress they are making with their bmw engine and new chassis. Thank god it has AWD or it’d have no straight line numbers to tout

Edit: Good thing the 20+ lbs of boost it has gives it 65hp more than the old Scat Pack. It’ll need it for the extra 455lbs it’s carrying.

Wow just saw the official 1/4 mile numbers. It only took 7 years with all the new technology and AWD for the Sixpack to be .5 seconds and 1mph slower that a 2019 Scat Pack 1320.

The progress is staggering.

Clearly the EV is the only way to go with this generation unless they put HEMIs back where they belong. I may actually pick up a Daytona as a daily driver in a couple years. The car is so good looking and perfect size wise for my daily driver. And the EV is much quicker and I’d imagine it’ll be much more reliable than the 20+ lbs boosted car and as a bonus it sounds better than the lawnmower sounds the 6 pack makes…. Or the 9 second civic noises the uncorked, modified, hurricanes make

The only positive news was with the Durango. 392 Hemi for $49,995 is a sweet deal and THAT will be the Dodge vehicle of the year for sure. I might even be very tempted by this.

Makes no difference really that the Charger Sixpack H.O. for $55k will compete with Mustang GT in the 1/4 mile for the same money....when people hear the angry weed trimmer exhaust note and then go to the Ford dealer to test drive the GT which one do you think is going to end up in their garage?

So now we wait until the big winter car press event coming up and pray that THERE we'll finally get some Charger Hemi news....

That is what I was saying before, Hurricanes on paper seemed superior.
But let’s be fair. The Challenger 1320 is tailored for Drag racing. But again the Six Pack Scat Pack with AWD isn’t that much fast than the regular Scat Pack 392 (12.2 seconds vs 12.6 seconds)

Fair enough. It only took 11 years for the new technology and new chassis with AWD to do .4 better with the same trap speed. When tires are due for replacement on the 392 it’ll be quicker if you pick the right replacements. But it’s progress off the showroom floor I suppose.

40mph and up rolls I don’t think the new charger will have any advantage over the 2015 Scat. Id imagine it’s at a disadvantage at almost anything but a dig.

Here’s a shocking one. Car and driver got 12.7 at 104 out of a 2021 Durango 392.

The Durango 392 weighs almost 650lbs more than the new 2 door Charger I6 HO that runs 12.4 at 114.

Granted .3 and 8mph (especially) isn’t nothing. But neither is almost 650lbs.

But remember the Durango RT 392 starts at $49,995 for 2026 while the HO I6 Charger is $56k+.

The Durango seats up to 7 and the Charger seats 5. And in the Durango you get to listen to the 392. In the Charger you get to listen to….. well whatever terrible sound you equate the I6 to.
