Ram is raising the bar on what truck owners can expect when it comes to peace of mind. For the 2026 model year, the brand has introduced "America’s Best Full-Size Truck Limited Powertrain Warranty"—a 10-year, 100,000-mile promise that covers nearly every full-size Ram truck and van sold in the U.S.

The service departments in many CJDR dealerships are horrible. I wouldn't trust most of them to even change a set of wiper blades. Being stuck with that network for that long is a total disincentive for me. Just think ten years of hearing, "We don't hear any noise" and "That's not included under the warranty."

I've been thinking something like this needed to happen to make a separation in the market. Advanced features, rare 10 years ago, are common now. Styling is subjective. This is a real difference maker. Now extend this across the brands.

To a comment I read, my CDJR service experience has been exceptional. I absolutely trust my dealer.

Yes, my experience has been that CDJR dealers are better here than Ford or GM dealers. I haven't had much trouble over the last 25 years. One or two of them that I've dealt with have been superb and the rest have been above average and only one sucked. You just have to learn which ones are the ones to avoid.

This was my first thought as well sadly.
