Personally I can think of over 100,000 reasons to hate him since 1/20. He has caused millions to lose billions.
He has created world wide economic chaos with his idiotic tariffs. He signed the trade agreement with Canada and Mexico. Now he is violating it. Cutting 1000's of federal workers with no thought given to who or what they are doing. HHS and CCD lost over 10000, Now they just figured out they need some of them back. Companies analyze their needs first, then downsize. Him and Muskrat are just firing people and closing agencies illegally. He is corruption at its finest. Shutdown the CFPB so that banks can do outrages things with fees and loans. Downsize the IRS so him and his rich friends don't get caught scamming on their taxes. Causing massive disruption at the SSA so people have trouble applying for benefits. Can't even do it online as the website keeps shutting down.

First of all we were coming out of the Covid shutdown. Supply chains were broken everywhere. Some companies were shutdown longer than others.There were shortages of everything driving price increases, some beyond very greedy. You don't have to look farther than the Stellantis price gouging. Production lines where started and stopped due to parts shortages. I waited 4 months for a new bathroom shower part I needed.
People weren't driving anywhere and industrial use of oil was down. That's why prices were lower. at one point early in Covid oil was trading at a negative value because they had nowhere to put it. Tankers were floating off the coast with no place to unload the oil. Trump or no president cannot control the price of oil. Market traders do. Gas will never be $2 a gallon again.
Prices did not go up 90 to 100% on everything. My '16 Ram big Horn had a sticker of 50K. The equivalent model today is around 61 - 62. My wife's '19 Charger SXT Plus had a sticker of 38. The 23' s were around 42. If the tariffs stick, some vehicles will go up 12 to 15K, way more than any price increases in the last 5 years.
In '21 I bought a higher end LG TV for 1700. The equivalent today is around the same price. Samsung phones were 799- 899. Now they are 899 and 999. The $1000 i{hone will hit 1700 if the tariffs hit China. That is true inflation.
A case of a good IPA beer was about 35 to 38. Now add about $5 to that.
Ground meat on sale is about 1 - 1.50 more per pound.
There is obvious greed on soft drink pricing. 2 liter bottles were .99 on sale, now they are more than twice that.
If everything went up 100% the economy would have tanked.
Trump was handed a booming economy. In 78 days he has wrecked the government and the world wide economics. No wonder he declared bankruptcy 6 times.
