When we broke the news about the ZF Powerline 8-speed, many were quick to point out that the transmission’s maximum torque rating is 1,000 pound-feet of torque. It is important to remember that the current rating is based on a commercial application (much heavier duty cycle) in a … (read full article...)

Dodge Still Can’t Come Up With A Sound For The New Charger Daytona
While Dodge revealed its all-new, all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona earlier this week, the American performance won’t be silently sneaking onto the streets. However, the catch is that nobody knows what it will sound like yet. During the press reveal, Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis spilled the beans, admitting that the debate on the Charger’s sonic identity is still ongoing. “We’ve changed it 100 times,” Kuniskis confessed, shedding light on Dodge’s meticulous process to find … (read full article...)

Dodge Puts Up “Last Call” Ad On Its Social Media Accounts
While some people may be disappointed that Dodge will no longer be producing HEMI® V8-powered muscle cars, there are still plenty of HEMI Charger and Challenger models on dealer lots. Despite Dodge making its “Last Call” announcement in August 2022, not all of the HEMI muscle cars have been snapped up by enthusiasts. Several factors have plagued Dodge since its announcement. Dealer markups, high-interest rates, and inflation have kept dealers full of inventory. So much so that recently, Dodge re-introduced its Power Dollars marketing campaign, hoping that the program would boost sales as it did in 2021. On March 5th, … (read full article...)
Alfa Romeo Tonale and Dodge Hornet Recalled Due To Label Error

This recall affects approximately 36,093 crossovers in the United States and an additional 5,878 in Canada, manufactured for the 2023 to 2024 model years. What’s the issue? Jeep® Recalls Its 2024 Grand Cherokee For Steering Knuckle Issue
Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 250 units of its 2024 Jeep® Grand Cherokee (WL) due to an improperly machined steering knuckle. A steering knuckle without finished machining can cause a ball joint not to be seated correctly and the ball joint nut to not be fully torqued, which can cause the ball joint to knuckle separation. A ball joint separating from the knuckle results in the wheel falling outboard, which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning. The suspect period began on December 27, 2023, when suspect steering knuckles were introduced into vehicle production, and ended on … (read full article...)
