Last week, Ram Trucks pulled the wrap off their new performance off-roader, the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. Revealed in a trailer called “The Convoy,” the new Ram 1500 RHO arrives to battle the Ford F-150 Raptor. While not a direct replacement for the outgoing Ram 1500 TRX, the RHO features a 540 horsepower three-liter Hurricane inline six-cylinder, with all the suspension goodies and styling from the TRX, although updated to fit with the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup. On April 26th, Stellantis released the following statement on their Canadian media site: Ram has discontinued production of the Ram 1500 Classic for the Canadian market. Current inventory will sell through 2024. Ram 1500 Classic production will continue for the United States and Mexico. In Canada, Ram will continue to offer the Ram 1500, Ram Heavy Duty , Ram Chassis Cab and Ram ProMaster. We asked Stellantis Canada for comment on the discontinuation of the Ram 1500 Classic and were told they have nothing further to add to the statement. Stellantis has laid off 199 full-time employees at its Sterling Heights Assembly Plant (SHAP) in Michigan. The plant produces the company’s most popular vehicle – the Ram 1500 (DT).
