Dodge Unleashes “A New Breed” Marketing Campaign For Hornet R/T

"Performance Electrified"...

In a bold move that reaffirms its commitment to performance and innovation, the Dodge brand has unleashed its latest creation onto the automotive scene – the all-new 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T. This electrifying addition to the muscle car family is set to take the compact-utility segment by storm. The launch comes alongside a thrilling marketing campaign aptly named “A New Breed,” signaling a clear transition towards electrification driven by a passion for performance and exhilaration, rather than mere compliance.

Dodge CEO, Tim Kuniskis, declared, “The new addition of the Dodge Hornet R/T to the Brotherhood of Muscle is a first step in how the Dodge brand will transition to the future, biasing electrification for performance and fun, not compliance.” This bold statement sets the stage for what is poised to be a game-changing moment in the world of compact utility vehicles.

The 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T is not your average hybrid-electric vehicle. With 288 horsepower and a jaw-dropping 383 lb.-ft. of torque, it’s the quickest and most powerful utility vehicle in its segment. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds, the Hornet R/T demonstrates that electrification and performance can go hand in hand. It’s a clear testament to Dodge’s commitment to delivering electrifying power without compromising on the thrill of driving.

Marissa Hunter, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Stellantis North America, acknowledges the brand’s rich heritage, stating, “The legacy and reputation of the Dodge brand’s muscle cars run far and wide; the brand has been revered by our owners and enthusiasts for more than 100 years.” The Hornet R/T embodies this legacy while pioneering a new era of electrified muscle cars.

The 2024 Dodge Hornet R/T is equipped with a range of class-exclusive and best-in-class performance features that redefine what a compact utility vehicle can be. From a powertrain designed for precision to a suspension system engineered for superior handling, the Hornet R/T leaves no stone unturned.

One standout feature is the class-exclusive PowerShot, an on-demand capability that provides an instant 30-horsepower boost, allowing drivers to harness maximum electrical power and reach 60 mph in just 5.6 seconds. With standard AWD featuring dynamic torque vectoring, along with available segment-exclusive amenities like Brembo brakes and dual-stage suspension, the Hornet R/T promises an unparalleled driving experience that is quintessentially Dodge.

Maybe someone will finally see fit to send a few to the Midatlantic or southeastern US. As of now, have yet to see a SINGLE Hornet on a dealer lot or on the Highway. Not a one.

I’ve seen a few hornets on dealers lots, but none on the road yet. From what I’ve been reading/seeing, they seem to be “A New Whole Lotta Trouble”.
I’m due a new vehicle soon, but I got my doubts it will be anything FCA. Certainly nothing Italian based.
