FIAT Introduces New Sporty Street Package For Tipo Lineup:

Makes Us Think Of What A Dodge Neon Blacktop Would Have Looked Like...

While most of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) sales are based on pickup trucks, SUVs and crossovers in the United States and Canada, small cars are still the dominating market in other parts of the world. The FIAT brand’s popular Fiat Tipo lineup (as known as the Dodge Neon in the Middle-East and Mexico) directly competes against vehicles like the Ford Focus.

One thing that the FIAT brand has been doing as of lately is offering a lot of different special edition trim packages to customers. This allows the vehicle to appeal to a wider range of potential customers than just a standard vehicle would. While the Dodge brand markets their version of the Tipo (the Neon) more on performance, the FIAT brand does more of a mainstream marketing campaign with the lineup of Tipo vehicles in their lineup. Now FIAT is finally picking up where the Dodge brand has been doing for past several years in Mexico and the Middle-East and trying to bring more youth into the Tipo lineup with the introduction of the new Tipo Street edition.

The Fiat Tipo Street is aimed at young customers who want to find in the car dynamism, style and accessibility. The new Street version adds things like new 16-inch glossy black aluminum wheels, black mirrors caps, grille and door handles. LED day-time lighting, dark tinted windows and the dedicated badge reinforce the “Street” character of this set-up.

Inside the Fiat Tipo Street, the dark theme is continued with black highlighted interior trim pieces. Seats are covered in black/grey fabrics and coordinate well with the black interior touches of the cabin. The Tipo Street also offers the 7-inch Uconnect HD touchscreen system that features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

This sporty new package, definitely adds more urban and a more aggressive character to the popular Tipo lineup. It also gives us an idea of what a modern Dodge Neon Blacktop edition would have looked like here, if the car had come to North America.
