AUCTION: Dodge D100–Bodied 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10

Classic Dodge Body Meets Modern SRT-10 Performance...

A unique custom-built Dodge pickup blending classic design with modern performance is currently listed for sale on BringATrailer.com. The truck is a 1964 Dodge D100 pickup body mounted on the chassis and drivetrain of a 2005 Dodge Ram SRT-10, creating a distinctive mix of vintage style and high-performance engineering. It’s powered by an 8.3-liter (505 cubic-inch) Viper V10 engine paired with a 6-speed Tremec manual transmission, delivering 500 horsepower and 525 lb.-ft. of torque to the rear wheels.

This custom project was completed under prior ownership, featuring a Green exterior with Black leather and synthetic suede upholstery inside. The truck’s body was stretched by 6-inches to fit the modern Ram SRT-10 chassis, which provides the underpinnings, suspension, and powertrain of Dodge’s high-performance sport truck. The inside of the bed is coated in bedliner material, while the chrome grille, quad headlamps, and painted bumpers retain the vintage truck’s charm.

On the exterior, the truck sports dual side-view mirrors, SRT-10 badges, tinted windows, and polished exhaust outlets. However, there are some cosmetic issues, including a misaligned tailgate, a paint run under the rear window, and paint chips on the rear bumper. The truck rolls on 22-inch twin-spoke aluminum wheels fitted with 305/40 Pirelli Scorpion Zero tires, while braking is handled by four-wheel disc brakes.

Inside the cabin, the truck offers modern comfort features like air conditioning, power windows, and cruise control. The driver’s seat is power-adjustable, and the stereo system includes a 6-disc CD changer. The seats are upholstered in Dark Gray leather with SRT-10 embroidery, and the Black cloth accents on the door panels and headliner add a contemporary touch. However, the seller notes that the airbags have been disconnected, and the airbag warning light remains illuminated.

The dashboard is fitted with an SRT-10–branded 160-mph speedometer and 7k-rpm tachometer, along with gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel. The odometer shows approximately 8,000 miles, with around 500 miles added by the current owner. It’s important to note that the true mileage is unknown.

One notable aspect of this truck is its history. The donor chassis from the 2005 Ram SRT-10 was involved in a rollover accident in 2006, resulting in a salvage title. The Carfax report reflects this, along with manufacturer safety recalls. Despite this, the truck offers a unique blend of vintage aesthetics and modern muscle, making it a standout for enthusiasts looking for something different.

This custom Dodge D100–Bodied 2005 Ram SRT-10 is currently titled in Ohio as a 1964 Dodge D100, using the VIN that matches the affixed plate. The auction for this one-of-a-kind build ends on Tuesday, September 24 at 5:43 p.m. EDT, giving potential buyers the chance to own a custom creation that’s part classic pickup, part modern muscle truck.
