Finished in Silver Metallic with multicolor graphics, this van screams 1970s cool. It’s got all the right touches—porthole bubble windows, sliding rear side glass, rear door window louvers, underglow lighting, and a front chin spoiler. Polished Cragar S/S 15-inch wheels wrapped in raised white-letter Mastercraft Avenger G/T tires give it that classic street cruiser stance. Aluminum running boards make for easy entry, while side and rear swing-out doors add that functional flair.

Pop open those doors and step into a time machine. The cabin is pure period van life—blue cloth captain’s chairs, shag carpeting, wood paneling, and even a fridge and sink setup. There’s a leopard-print curtain dividing the front seats from the back, which is loaded with trippy details like mushroom-themed décor, overhead lighting, and a wooden table with built-in cupholders. The original 8-track is gone, replaced by a modern Pioneer head unit, but the vibe is still straight out of a 1977 van rally.

Under the hood is a trusty 5.2-liter (318 cubic-inch) LA small-block V8, mated to a Torqueflite A727 3-speed automatic transmission. Power steering, power front disc brakes, and fresh air conditioning components round out the drivability upgrades. The seller also performed a recent oil change and brake service to get it ready for its next adventure.

The five-digit odometer shows just 8,000 miles, though it’s believed to have rolled over. The current owner has added about 1,200 miles since acquiring it in 2022. It’s registered in Alabama, which doesn’t issue titles for vehicles this old, so it’s being sold on registration only.

Likely but I expect it to look more like the Airflow

Certainly not a model for consideration. Personally, my electrification skepticism aside, I am not too impressed with the Charger concept. Seems like a basic design shape that need a great deal of refinement. Doubt we see a two door, though I’d like that choice for Charger. Doubt front end design is practical for a mass production offering. Side desperately needs some interesting styling elements like those cool 1968 or 1971 side scoops. Hopefully Dodge base feedback will produce a better final product. Truthfully must see in person to make a good call. Can someone with computer skills put 1971 side scoops on this so we can see if that works. Bet it does.
Dodge has some tough calls on Charger and Challenger, I’m hoping they do a great job, but the Banshee though very innovative, still is a work in progress.
