Semiconductor shortages, rising interest rates, and inflation continue to push pricing for pickups upward.
Semiconductor shortages, out-of-control inflation, and rising interest rates have continued to push full-size pickup truck prices upward. While modern pickups come with state-of-the-art technology, infotainment, and safety features, some of us wish for a no-frills pickup to get to point A to point B, throw some things in the back, and can tow our weekend toys.
This 1993 Dodge Power Ram W150 Regular Cab Short Cab 4×4, might be the answer to all of those wishes. With only 430 miles on the odometer, this first-generation Ram might be the lowest example in existence.
Painted in the Banzai Blue Metallic (PC3), the truck features chrome bumpers, 15-inch steel wheels, front disc brakes, vented quarter windows, power mirrors, and a factory AM/FM Cassette stereo.
Under the hood is a 5.9-liter (360 cubic-inch) MAGNUM V8, producing 230 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque. The MAGNUM V8 introduced several new features for the popular 5.9-liter, such as sequential multipoint fuel injection (SMPI), intake manifold, intake/exhaust valves, high-flow exhaust manifold, combustion chambers, ports, pistons, rings, progressive-bore throttle body, self-tensioning serpentine belt accessory drive, and provided 29% fewer components than the previous year.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
The truck is said to have been part of a dealership collection until 2016, when it was acquired by the current seller in July 2020. The truck shows a clean Carfax report and a clean Washington state title.
Bidding ends on this beautiful pickup tomorrow, Thursday, August 11th, so we are curious to see what it goes for. You can visit its dedicated page on BringATrailer.com for more information
