It is a very important day for the Jeep® brand, as the iconic off-road SUV brand gets ready to launch two of its most highly-anticipated vehicles in the last decade. The introduction of the Jeep Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer (WS) brings the legendary nameplate back to the lineup for the first time since 1993 and marks the first time that the iconic Wrangler will have a production-ready electrified variant.
The Ram 1500-based full-size SUV fills a gap in not only the Jeep portfolio but the Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) portfolio as well. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be the most technologically advanced vehicle ever. The premium American icon offering will go against vehicles like the Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Yukon, Ford Expedition, Lincoln Navigation, and Cadillac Escalade.
The second vehicle is the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe. The new plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) will utilize plug-in capability, as well as a gasoline-based powertrain to work as a generator to replenish power to the battery pack. The new 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe will expand the capability of the most capable off-roader on the planet.
