Ram 1500, 1500 TRX, & 2500/3500 Remain on Editors' Choice List...
Car and Driver has announced the winners of its annual Editors’ Choice honors, selecting eight repeat winners from the Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Jeep®, and Ram brands for the 2023 edition.
The premium-performance Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio and Giulia Quadrifoglio both earned honors for the sixth consecutive year, while the Chrysler Pacifica made its seventh straight Editors’ Choice list. The Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L took Editors’ Choice honors for mid-size SUVs for the second consecutive year. The Ram 1500, 1500 TRX, and 2500/3500 also continued their strong presence on the Editors’ Choice list. The vehicles were selected from over 400 models tested, rated, and ranked by Car and Driver in each of 39 eligible market segments, with the winners deemed the best at fulfilling their mission while offering great value and a rewarding driving experience.
Alfa Romeo –
Alfa Romeo celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Quadrifoglio brand, with the Giulia Quadrifoglio representing the halo of the lineup and highlighting Alfa Romeo’s exclusive motorsports and performance expertise. The Stelvio Quadrifoglio adds all-wheel drive (AWD), setting the benchmark for performance SUVs.
Chrysler –
The Chrysler Pacifica continues to reinvent the minivan segment that Chrysler invented 40 years ago. It delivers functionality, versatility, technology, bold styling, the most standard safety features, and the most advanced available AWD system in its class. The Chrysler Pacifica plug-in hybrid (PHEV) is the first electrified vehicle in the minivan segment and has achieved more than 80 MPGe in electric-only mode, with an all-electric range of more than 30 miles and a total range of more than 500 miles.
Jeep® –
The Jeep Grand Cherokee features a lineup that includes the two-row Grand Cherokee, the electrified PHEV Grand Cherokee 4xe, and the three-row Grand Cherokee L. The Grand Cherokee 4xe delivers 25 miles of all-electric range, 56 MPGe, and a combined driving range of more than 440 miles. The three-row Grand Cherokee L debuted in 2021 to meet the growing needs of Jeep customers who have asked for more space and functionality.
Ram –
The 2023 Ram 1500 is the benchmark for durability, technology, efficiency, performance, and convenience. It features never-before-offered features in a full-size pickup, including a multifunction tailgate, a digital rearview mirror, and a 12-inch touchscreen with split-screen capability.
The Ram 1500 TRX, the third straight year on the Editors’ Choice list, is the quickest, fastest, and most powerful mass-produced truck in the world, with a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® HELLCAT V-8 engine delivering 702 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Ram Heavy Duty is the strongest and most capable pickup truck in its class, with impressive towing and payload capabilities. It was also the first to reach the milestone of 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque with the Cummins I-6 Turbo Diesel, now even better with a best-in-class 1,075 lb.-ft. of torque. Its unique link-coil rear suspension system and optional rear air suspension provide superior ride and handling. The Ram Heavy Duty is designed to be the most refined and comfortable option for operators who demand the best.
