Abarth Unleashes The 2026 600e Competition Edition Milano Cortina
Ultra-Limited Electric Hot Hatch Honors Italy’s Olympic Spirit
Abarth is charging into the EV performance world with a serious statement piece: the 2026 Abarth 600e Competition Edition Milano Cortina. Built to celebrate the upcoming Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, this tiny electric missile shows off everything the Scorpion brand stands for—attitude, performance, and unapologetic fun. Only 50 units will be made, all exclusively for Italy, but it’s the kind of car that grabs the attention of enthusiasts everywhere, including here in the U.S.

At its core, the Milano Cortina Edition is a celebration of competition. Abarth revived the historic “Competition” spirit to build a car that blends real motorsport hardware with cutting-edge EV tech. Based on the already-potent Abarth 600e, this version punches out a stout 280 horsepower, delivering instant torque and ripping from 0–100 km/h in 5.85 seconds. For a subcompact electric hatch, those numbers border on wild.
The car was developed in partnership with Stellantis Motorsport, and you can feel that influence throughout the build. It uses the newest eCMP platform, giving it tight handling and superb rigidity. Abarth adds upgraded racing brakes, a mechanical limited-slip differential for maximum traction, and competition-inspired tuning that lets the driver push the car harder than your average EV. This is a performance-first machine—no watered-down commuter pretending to be sporty.

Visually, Abarth didn’t hold back. Every Milano Cortina Edition comes with an unmistakable Shock Orange exterior, a black roof, special two-tone graphics, and a Milano Cortina 2026 badge on the side pillars. It proudly marks the model as part of a uniquely Italian Olympic celebration. Inside, the theme continues with Alcantara appointments, sport seats, and premium trim that balance luxury with performance flair.
Despite its hardcore personality, Abarth packed the little hatch with modern conveniences. Standard features include 360-degree parking sensors, Blind Spot Detection, Adaptive Cruise Control, and a hands-free tailgate. It’s quick enough to thrill but still livable for everyday use—exactly what a modern hot hatch should be.

Perhaps the most surprising part is the price. The 600e Competition Edition Milano Cortina starts at €41,950, which converts to roughly $44,500 USD depending on exchange rates. For a 50-unit, motorsport-infused performance EV, the pricing is aggressive—especially for collectors who know this will be one of the rarest electric Abarths ever built.
Arriving in Italian dealerships early next year, the Milano Cortina Edition isn’t just a commemorative model. It represents how brands like Abarth are carrying their performance heritage into the electric age. The Olympics are all about passion, innovation, and competition—and Abarth packed all three into a tiny, loud, fast electric package that’s impossible to ignore.
