Abarth Releases Most Powerful Model Ever in the U.K.: The 600e

Abarth has officially launched the Abarth 600e in the UK, setting a new benchmark for electric hot hatches. With an e-motor delivering a remarkable 280 horsepower (207 kW), the Abarth 600e is the most powerful Abarth ever produced. This cutting-edge electric vehicle combines thrilling performance with sporty styling and electrification, elevating Abarth’s legacy to new heights.

Power and Performance – 

The Abarth 600e is equipped with an e-motor capable of generating 280 horsepower (207 kW), propelling it to a top speed of 124 mph (200 km/h). It accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (0-100 km/h) in just 5.85 seconds. The standard version delivers 240 horsepower (179 kW) and accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 6.24 seconds.

This model is available in two versions: the sporty Abarth 600e and the fully equipped Abarth 600e Scorpionissima. The Scorpionissima variant offers the full 280 horsepower performance, available in two exclusive colors: Acid Green and Hypnotic Purple. 

Abarth 600e: An Electric Revolution – 

The Abarth 600e was developed in collaboration with Stellantis Motorsport engineers, combining Abarth’s motorsport heritage with the latest electric vehicle (EV) technology. Built on the state-of-the-art eCMP platform, it delivers extraordinary performance, handling, and driving excitement.

The Abarth 600e boasts a 345 Nm (254 lb-ft) torque output and a maximum driving range of up to 207 miles (333 km) on a full charge, based on the WLTP combined cycle. The car’s three driving modes—Turismo, Scorpion Street, and Scorpion Track—allow drivers to tailor the driving experience to their preferences, from a smooth ride in Turismo to a high-performance experience in Scorpion Track.

Design and Engineering – 

The Abarth 600e blends bold, aggressive design with advanced technology. The exterior features a muscular stance, expansive wheels, and aerodynamic enhancements, including a rear spoiler and enlarged front and rear tracks. The car’s striking 20-inch diamond-alloy wheels and the sharp, dynamic lines on the front and rear bumpers are designed to improve both aesthetics and performance.

Inside, the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima is equipped with racing-inspired Sabelt seats designed for optimal support and comfort during spirited driving. The interior exudes a sporty, high-tech feel, with features like the leather-wrapped steering wheel with Alcantara inserts and a 7-inch color TFT display showing exclusive Abarth graphics.

Advanced Motorsport Technology – 

Abarth’s engineers worked closely with key partners such as Michelin, Alcon, JTEKT, and Sabelt to develop the best performance solutions for the Abarth 600e. Michelin’s specially developed Pilot Sport EV tires ensure excellent grip, while Alcon’s advanced braking system, including 380 mm (15-inch) brakes with four-piston monobloc calipers, provides superior stopping power and heat dissipation.

The Abarth 600e also features JTEKT’s Torsen mechanical limited-slip differential, improving handling and traction, particularly during sharp turns or slippery surfaces. The car’s enhanced suspension system, reinforced chassis and optimized cooling system work together to ensure consistent, high-level performance under various driving conditions.

The Abarth 600e comes equipped with an advanced infotainment system, including a 10.25-inch display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ integration. The Scorpionissima model features standard navigation and includes a sound generator that simulates a more thrilling engine sound, adding to the excitement of every drive.

The Abarth 600e also offers a range of advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) for enhanced safety and convenience. These include Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Departure Warning, Autonomous Emergency Braking, and Drowsy Driver Detection. The UK pricing for the Abarth 600e starts from £36,975 OTR (or about $45,000 USD), while the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima is priced at £39,875 OTR (or about $49,000 USD). These prices fall below the UK’s Expensive Car Supplement threshold, which kicks in for vehicles priced above £40,000 (or about $50,000 USD) from April 2025.
