Windsor Assembly Plant Employees Deliver Holiday Cheer With $18,000 In Toys

Stellantis Workers Power A Record-Setting Season Of Giving In Windsor

Windsor Assembly Plant employees once again proved that the heart of Stellantis beats far beyond the vehicles they build. On Thursday, Plant Manager Peter Vitti and his team delivered roughly $18,000 in brand-new toys to support the Windsor Firefighters’ annual Sparky’s Toy Drive, keeping alive a proud tradition that has stretched more than two decades.

This year’s arrival made an entrance worthy of the Dodge brand. Leading the convoy was a Windsor-built 2026 Dodge Charger SIXPACK Scat Pack, driven by Santa Claus himself. In true Dodge fashion, Santa kicked off the event by lighting up the pavement with a quick series of donuts—bringing smiles to families and workers gathered outside. Right behind him, five Chrysler Pacifica minivans, also built at the same facility, rolled in stuffed full of toys headed to Windsor-Essex families in need.

Vitti emphasized how much this initiative means to the plant and the people behind it. “This is what the holiday season is all about, bringing joy to children and families who need it most,” he said. He also highlighted the team’s consistency and community pride: “Our generous Windsor Assembly employees have a proud tradition of supporting Sparky’s Toy Drive for more than two decades.” With the plant preparing for the major launch of the all-new 2026 Dodge Charger lineup and continuing production of the award-winning Chrysler Pacifica, Vitti added that his team remains committed to “building strong communities, as well as world-class vehicles.”

Unifor Local 444 President James Stewart echoed that pride. “Stellantis employees and Unifor members at the Windsor Assembly Plant are always so proud to take part in Sparky’s Toy Drive,” Stewart said. “This charity does so much good, providing for needy children in the Windsor-Essex area during the holiday season.”

For Sparky’s Toy Drive coordinator Josh Easby, the support remains indispensable. “We are truly grateful for Stellantis and the Windsor Assembly Plant’s unwavering support,” Easby said. “Without partners like Stellantis, this program simply wouldn’t be possible.”

The 2025 holiday season is expected to serve roughly 1,200 families, including nearly 3,000 children. Since 2002, Stellantis employees have filled 128 vehicles with toys valued at nearly $320,000, leaving an undeniable mark on the Windsor-Essex region.

Residents can still get involved by donating new toys or monetary gifts at participating Windsor fire stations through December 25.
