B5 Blue Returns To The 2026 Dodge Durango Lineup
Classic High-Impact Color Brings Heritage Style Back To The Muscle SUV
Dodge is bringing back one of its most recognizable heritage colors for 2026 — B5 Blue. This legendary hue, part of the brand’s original lineup of “High Impact” colors from the late 1960s and early ’70s, is making its long-awaited return to the Dodge Durango lineup for the first time since 2018.
For the 2026 model year, B5 Blue will be available across the entire Durango lineup — from the GT to the top-of-the-line SRT HELLCAT Jailbreak. The color joins Green Machine as one of two new exterior options for 2026, giving customers another way to express their Dodge attitude in true muscle SUV fashion.

According to Dodge CEO Matt McAlear, adding B5 to the Durango lineup perfectly captures what the brand stands for. “Adding B5 to Durango, the only three-row muscle SUV powered by a HEMI® V8 engine in every model, best-in-class towing at every trim, and the ability to seat up to seven, is the perfect blend of bold attitude, family muscle, and unmistakable Dodge DNA,” said McAlear.
The move also celebrates Dodge’s decision to make the Durango lineup “all HEMI, all the time.” Starting with dealer orders placed on August 13, 2025, every consumer 2026 Durango model — regardless of trim — comes standard with a HEMI V8 engine. (Fleet models can still be optioned with the Pentastar V6).

Dealers can begin placing orders for the 2026 Durango in B5 Blue starting today, November 4, 2025. The color option will carry a U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $595. Canadian MSRP is $395.
A Heritage Color With Mopar Roots –

B5 Blue has deep ties to Dodge and Plymouth history. Originally launched in the late ’60s and early ’70s, B5 was part of Dodge’s “High Impact” color lineup — a group of vibrant, street-grabbing paint shades like Plum Crazy, Go Mango, Sublime, and Panther Pink. These colors were designed to stand out both on the road and at the track.
The color was seen on legendary Mopar machines, including the Dodge Charger, Coronet R/T, and Plymouth Road Runner. While Dodge called the shade “Bright Blue Poly,” Plymouth used the name “Blue Fire Poly,” both tied to the same B5 paint code.

B5 Blue returned to modern Mopars in 2009 on the Challenger SRT8, quickly becoming a fan favorite. It’s since appeared across several modern Dodge models, proving that this vibrant tone never goes out of style.
With the return of B5 Blue to the 2026 Durango lineup, Dodge continues to connect its muscle heritage to today’s performance-driven SUV segment. The Durango’s blend of V8 power, three-row practicality, and bold colors like B5 Blue ensure it remains the most authentic muscle SUV on the market — a rolling tribute to Dodge’s glory days and a statement of power that refuses to fade away.
