Jeep® Commander Expands Into The Middle East

Three-Row SUV Blends Family Comfort, Technology, and Authentic Jeep Capability

The Jeep® brand has officially brought its three-row Commander SUV to the Middle East, marking a bold new chapter for the off-road icon in one of its fastest-growing global markets. Following strong success in Latin America and Asia, the Commander now enters the region’s competitive D-segment with a clear mission — to deliver premium comfort, space for seven, and legendary Jeep off-road capability in one package.

A New Benchmark For Jeep In The Middle East –

The Commander is available in two premium trims — Limited+ and Overland — both powered by the turbocharged 2.0-liter Hurricane4 I4, delivering 272 horsepower and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque through a 9-speed automatic transmission and full-time 4×4 system.

This configuration gives the Commander the perfect balance of everyday performance and off-road strength. Priced from SAR 174,000, or about $46,400 USD, it’s aimed squarely at Middle Eastern buyers looking for a refined yet rugged SUV that can handle both city streets and the desert.

“The arrival of the Jeep Commander marks a significant moment for the brand in the region,” said Youssef Bouhaddioui, Director of American Brands at Stellantis Middle East. “It allows us to enter a new segment with a product that combines sophistication, versatility, and true Jeep brand capability. The Commander reflects our commitment to offering vehicles that meet evolving lifestyle needs while staying true to the Jeep brand’s values of adventure, freedom, and authenticity.”

Designed For Families And Adventurers –

The Jeep Commander was designed from the ground up to deliver versatility. Inside, it features three rows of seating and eight flexible configurations, making it easy to switch between hauling passengers or cargo. The second row slides up to 14 cm (5.5 inches) to fine-tune legroom or expand storage, and both the second and third rows recline for added comfort.

Jeep even designed the doors to open up to 80 degrees, making access easier for passengers of all ages. Storage spaces throughout the cabin provide 31 liters (1.1 cu ft) of extra capacity. Families can fit three child seats across the second row, while still maintaining usable third-row space for adults or older kids.

Tech-Focused Interior –

Every Commander comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital driver cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen Uconnect 5 infotainment system, complete with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™. Wireless charging and USB ports across all rows ensure everyone stays connected.

The Limited+ trim offers a luxurious mix of leather and suede upholstery, while the Overland model steps it up with Nappa leather, a hands-free power tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof. Both trims feature dual-zone climate control with rear vents, an electric driver’s seat, and advanced connectivity features designed for comfort on long journeys.

For audiophiles, the Commander offers a premium Harman Kardon™ sound system with nine speakers and a 450-watt subwoofer. Jeep’s innovative Fresh Air Technology uses the cabin’s ducts as acoustic chambers, reducing system weight by 40% and improving bass response without bulky speaker housings.

Safety And Driver Assistance –

The new Commander also raises the bar in safety. It comes standard with seven airbags — including dual front, side, curtain, and a driver’s knee airbag — and a comprehensive Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite.

Standard features include:

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

  • Forward Collision Warning (FCW) with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB)

  • Blind-Spot Monitoring (BSM)

  • Cross Path Detection

  • Lane Departure Warning

  • Drowsy Driver Detection

  • Traffic Sign Recognition

  • Park Assist

Together, these systems give the Commander a reassuring level of protection and confidence for drivers navigating the region’s highways or bustling city streets.

True Jeep Capability –

Underneath its sophisticated design, the Commander remains a Jeep through and through. It’s equipped with 4×4 Low, 4×4 Lock, and the brand’s Selec-Terrain® traction management system, allowing drivers to tailor performance for sand, snow, mud, or rocks. Hill Descent Control ensures steady downhill performance off-road, while Off-Road Pages in the infotainment system show live data such as pitch, roll, and traction status.

Built on a platform that uses 79% high- and ultra-strength steel, the Commander provides exceptional rigidity, safety, and a quiet ride. Engineers also tuned the suspension and insulation to reduce vibration and noise, resulting in a composed and comfortable driving experience even on rough terrain.

The Commander plays a crucial role in Jeep’s international expansion strategy. First engineered and built in Brazil, the model has proven itself in markets like South America and Asia. Now, Jeep is introducing it to the Middle East — a region where families demand premium quality, space, and off-road confidence in equal measure.

By offering the Commander, Jeep strengthens its portfolio in a segment traditionally dominated by Japanese and Korean competitors. The brand hopes to attract customers who value premium design, cutting-edge tech, and authentic 4×4 performance — a combination few others can deliver.

Final Thoughts –

With its combination of family-friendly space, upscale materials, modern technology, and unmistakable Jeep capability, the new Jeep Commander is a smart move for the Middle East market. It’s luxurious enough for the city, capable enough for the desert, and versatile enough for any adventure in between.

Jeep has once again proven it can evolve without losing sight of what makes the brand iconic — adventure, freedom, and authenticity. And with the Commander’s launch, Middle Eastern buyers now have a new reason to join the Jeep family.
