FIAT is bringing its most famous city car back to its roots. The Italian brand has revealed the new 500 Hybrid Torino, a special edition that marks the return of the 500 to its hometown of Turin and its historic Mirafiori Assembly Plant. This debut isn’t just about another model—it’s about heritage, identity, and a new chapter for FIAT as it blends tradition with modern hybrid technology.
A Tribute to Turin –

The 500 Hybrid Torino isn’t just a nameplate; it’s a nod to the birthplace of FIAT itself. Production at Mirafiori goes back more than 80 years, and now one of Italy’s most iconic cars is once again rolling off the same lines. To underline the connection, each Torino edition wears a badge featuring the Mole Antonelliana, Turin’s most recognizable landmark, sitting proudly next to the new Hybrid logo.
Buyers will notice two exclusive colors offered only on this edition—Yellow Gold and Ocean Green—which capture both energy and elegance. Beyond these, five additional colors are available by request.
Inside: Turin Style Meets Italian Craftsmanship –

The interior makes the Torino edition stand apart. The seats feature a houndstooth fabric pattern embroidered with the Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (FIAT) logo. The dashboard is color-matched to the exterior paint, giving the cabin a more custom, upscale appearance. A soft-touch black steering wheel ties it all together, giving drivers a balance of modern functionality with a sense of Italian fashion.
Affordable Hybrid Mobility –

Under the hood, FIAT keeps things simple and accessible. The 500 Hybrid Torino is powered by the 1.0-liter FIREFLY I3 engine, paired with a 12-volt mild-hybrid system. It produces 65 horsepower and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. While not a performance powerhouse, the setup delivers improved efficiency and smoother stop-start driving—exactly what’s needed for urban streets.
In Europe, FIAT expects this model to connect with buyers who want affordable electrification without jumping fully into EVs. Pricing for the Torino edition starts at €18,950 (about $20,300 USD) with scrappage incentives and Stellantis Financial Services Italia financing. The broader 500 Hybrid lineup will begin at under €17,000 (about $18,200 USD)when it’s fully unveiled in November 2025. First customer deliveries are scheduled for February 2026.
Modern Tech for City Driving –

Despite its retro-inspired styling, the 500 Hybrid Torino is loaded with today’s tech. Drivers get:
-
10.25-inch infotainment screen with DAB, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto™
-
Keyless start for convenience
-
Automatic climate control for all-weather comfort
-
Cruise control for highway use
-
Rain and dusk sensors, plus parking sensors for tight urban spots
The package makes this small hatchback feel more upscale than its size suggests, turning daily commuting into something easier and more enjoyable.
A Celebration at Home –

The public will first see the 500 Hybrid Torino at the 2025 Turin Motor Show, running from September 26–28. That’s a fitting stage for the car’s reveal, with FIAT calling it both a “social and industrial symbol” for the brand and the city.
FIAT CEO Olivier François summed it up best: “Mirafiori is not just a factory, it is the heart of FIAT, and today the legendary 500 finally returns home with a special edition that honors our origins while symbolizing innovation, culture, and Italian society.”
Why It Matters –

The Torino edition isn’t just another trim package. It represents FIAT’s strategy to keep the 500 relevant in an era of electrification, while also celebrating Italian identity and craftsmanship. For FIAT, it’s a way of saying: “We’re staying true to our roots, but we’re not afraid to evolve.”
The 500 Hybrid Torino is small, stylish, efficient, and proudly Italian—everything the FIAT 500 has always stood for, now with a hometown twist and hybrid technology.
