Stellantis (FCA US, LLC) is recalling approximately 8 units of its 2025 Jeep® Wagoneer S vehicles that may have been equipped with an incorrect cross car beam in the instrument panel (IP). As a result, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 208, Occupant Crash Protection.
Vehicles built with an incorrect cross car beam in the IP may compromise intended load distribution or energy management performance, which can increase the risk of injury in certain crashes.

The suspect period began on January 31, 2025, when the first vehicle with the incorrect cross car beam was produced, and ended on the same day, when vehicles were no longer produced with the incorrect part. Vehicle production records and supplier traceability were used to determine the suspect population.
Similar vehicles not included in this recall were built either before or after the suspect period, or were built with the correct cross car beam.
Kirchhoff Automotive USA Inc. is the supplier of the cross car beam.

Recall Chronology –
-
On July 1, 2025, the FCA US LLC (“FCA US”) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) organization opened an investigation into a potential issue involving the wrong cross car beam installed in certain 2025 MY Jeep Wagoneer S vehicles.

From July through August 2025, FCA US TSRC met with FCA US engineering and manufacturing to review the issue, understand the failure mode, and determine the suspect population.
-
On August 6, 2025, FCA US TSRC determined that a vehicle build issue existed on certain vehicles due to the wrong cross car beam being installed in the instrument panel, potentially resulting in a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 208.
-
On August 28, 2025, FCA US, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, determined that a noncompliance with FMVSS 571.208 potentially exists on all affected vehicles.
