Just over a week after Jeep® teased the premium 2026 Grand Wagoneer, we’re now getting our first clear look at its more mainstream sibling — the 2026 Wagoneer (WS). New spy shots show the updated model completely uncovered, giving us our best view yet of how Jeep is reshaping its full-size SUV lineup.
Unlike the outgoing versions, this Wagoneer will proudly wear Jeep badging across the front fascia instead of the standalone “Wagoneer” lettering. This move ties the model closer to Jeep’s core identity, positioning it as a more integral part of the brand rather than a separate sub-brand.
Wagoneer S-Inspired Styling –
It’s no coincidence that the refreshed Wagoneer looks more like the recently launched Wagoneer S. Jeep has borrowed heavily from the sleek, aerodynamic design language of its all-electric midsize SUV. The front fascia features sharper LED headlights, a more sculpted grille, and a modernized bumper design. Out back, a new LED taillight bar stretches across the tailgate, mirroring the Wagoneer S’s connected-light signature.
These changes don’t just update the Wagoneer’s looks — they help it feel more upscale and contemporary in a segment where design and presence matter just as much as capability.
Power Under The Hood –

For 2026, Jeep is keeping the twin-turbo 3.0-liter HURRICANE I6 Standard Output (S/O) as the base powertrain. With 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque, it’s more than capable of moving the big SUV with confidence.
But Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf has hinted at something even bigger on the horizon: the return of HEMI® V8 power. “We will tap the power and performance of the HEMI across Jeep products as new projects are already underway,” he told us. If true, this would be a major shift. We don’t expect the HEMI to return to the Wagoneer for a while, as Stellantis will have to recertify it for duty.
Trim and Package Updates –

According to our sources, Jeep is expected to ditch the “Series I, II, III” naming system in favor of more traditional Jeep trims like Limited, Overland, and Summit. This aligns the Wagoneer more closely with the rest of the Jeep family while giving buyers familiar touchpoints as they move up the model range.
One test vehicle appears to be a continuation of the new-for-2025 Wagoneer Super model, featuring blackout styling with 22-inch machined black wheels, a gloss-black roof, and unique Carbide-style LED headlights. Other prototypes were spotted in Bright White and Velvet Red paint, both equipped with what appears to be the Advanced All-Terrain Group package, suggesting Jeep won’t be softening the Wagoneer’s off-road credentials.
Built in Michigan, Launching Soon –

Production of the 2026 Wagoneer is scheduled to begin in Q4 2025 at Stellantis’ Warren Truck Assembly Plant in Michigan. With sharper styling, a more cohesive Jeep identity, and the potential return of V8 power, the Wagoneer is being positioned as both a modern family hauler and a flagship full-size SUV that can go toe-to-toe with GM and Ford rivals.
The uncovered prototypes leave little doubt: the Wagoneer is evolving, and it’s looking more like the Wagoneer S than ever before.
