Ram Expands Sport Truck Lineup With 2026 2500 Black Express and Warlock Models

Ram Expands Their 2026 Heavy Duty Lineup With Two New Budget Friendly Buzz Models

Ram is doubling down on its commitment to sport truck culture, this time bringing the heat to the heavy-duty segment. For the 2026 model year, two bold new variants will be available: the Ram 2500 Black Express and Ram 2500 Warlock. These new packages join the lineup offering factory-customized looks and serious value for buyers who want muscle and presence in a ¾-ton package.

The move adds new depth to Ram’s performance-minded offerings and kicks off the 2026 HD model year with a clear statement: street style and off-road attitude aren’t limited to half-ton trucks anymore.

Two New Heavyweights, Two Distinct Personalities –

Both the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock are based on the entry-level Tradesman trim, offering buyers an aggressive look and added content at a competitive price point.

The Black Express package starts at $2,495, bringing the total price to $53,735. The more rugged Warlock package is priced at $2,995, with an entry point of $57,165 (both prices include destination). Orders are now open, and the first units are expected to arrive at dealer lots in Q3 2025.

“Everyone likes a good-looking truck, but the challenge is making it affordable while adding value to the entire lineup,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Ram. “The Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock offer an attractive price with custom appearance, while building on our sport truck leadership position.”

The Black Express is designed specifically for street truck enthusiasts seeking aggressive styling in a heavy-duty package. Available in Crew Cab 4×2 or 4×4 configurations, with both long and short bed options, it builds on the Tradesman platform with several visual and functional upgrades.

Highlights include:

  • A sport performance hood and body-color bumpers

  • 20-inch black wheels wrapped in all-season rubber

  • Standard ParkSense front and rear sensors

  • Black cab-length side steps

  • Interior appointments include a cloth bench seat, carpeted floors, and matching mats

  • Ram’s Power Convex Trailer Tow Mirrors, which continue to be a class-exclusive feature

Available in eight exterior colors—including Diamond Black, Bright White, Silver Zynith, and the vivid Flame Red—the Black Express delivers a clean, monochromatic look with attitude to spare.

2026 Ram 2500 Warlock: Off-Road-Ready Heritage Reborn –

For buyers who prefer trail chops to pavement presence, the Warlock offers factory-backed off-road capability with a legacy nameplate to match. This is the first time Ram has introduced a Warlock variant in the HD lineup, and it carries over the model’s distinct styling and purpose-built hardware.

Standard features include:

  • Crew Cab 4×4 short bed configuration only

  • Black bumpers, grille surround, and fender flares

  • Signature Warlock bedside decal

  • 20-inch diamond-cut wheels with aggressive 34-inch Goodyear Duratrac A/T tires

  • Bilstein shocks, a transfer case skid plate, and Hill Descent Control

  • Anti-spin rear differential for added traction

  • Rugged all-weather floor mats, cloth bench seats, and carpeted interior

  • Ram’s class-exclusive Power Convex mirrors

Like the Black Express, the Warlock is available in a wide range of colors, including Forged Blue and Molten Red. It builds on the Warlock legacy first seen in Dodge’s 1970s “Adult Toys” lineup and reintroduced in 2019 on the Ram 1500 Classic.

Under the Hood: Powertrain Options –

Both the Black Express and Warlock HD are offered with two engine choices, each mated to the Torqueflite HD 8-speed automatic transmission.

  • The standard 6.4-liter HEMI V8 delivers 405 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, making it a natural fit for the muscle truck crowd.

  • The optional 6.7-liter Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel ups the ante with 430 horsepower and a best-in-class 1,075 lb-ft of torque.

Regardless of the engine, every Ram 2500 HD rides on the brand’s exclusive five-link coil rear suspension, providing best-in-class ride comfort whether loaded or unloaded.

  1. Ram 1500 Express / Black Express

  2. Ram 1500 Warlock

  3. Ram 1500 Rebel

  4. Ram 1500 RHO

  5. Ram 2500 Black Express

  6. Ram 2500 Warlock

  7. Ram 2500 Rebel HD

  8. 2025 Ram 2500 Power Wagon

Both new 2500 models are assembled in Saltillo, Mexico, and will be offered in limited volumes for the 2026 model year.

With bold looks, powerful drivetrain options, and segment-first features, the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock bring fresh value to a space Ram continues to dominate.

I'm sorry, but adding new gimmicks isn't going to persuade the average consumer when the prices are beyond their reach. ARE YOU LISTENING RAM? Is it time for direct sale to the consumer in order to cut the MSRP price?
