If you’re a diecast car collector or a Mopar fan like me, you’re going to want to keep your eyes peeled on store shelves. Matchbox has officially released the 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T in its popular Moving Parts lineup, and it’s finally hitting retail in 1:64 scale.

First teased last summer, this highly detailed diecast captures the bold new look of Dodge’s all-electric muscle car. Finished in Bright Red with a Black interior, this miniature R/T shows off a surprisingly accurate take on the real-life car, right down to the signature R-wing front design. The casting is built from durable Zamac metal and rolls on Matchbox’s M006F multi-spoke wheels.
Like other Moving Parts models, this one includes opening doors—something collectors always appreciate. It also comes fully detailed with front and rear tampos, giving it the kind of presence that stands out in any display case. It really does feel like a little slice of modern Dodge muscle in your hand.

The model recently popped up in a Lamley Group unboxing on YouTube, and now it’s starting to appear at major retailers. So if you’re a Dodge enthusiast or just someone who loves a good 1:64 scale casting, this is one you don’t want to miss.
What makes this release even more interesting is the timing. Just last month, Dodge confirmed that the Charger Daytona R/T will be postponed for the 2026 model year. “Production of the Dodge Charger Daytona R/T is postponed for the 2026 model year as we continue to assess the effects of U.S. tariff policies,” Dodge CEO Matt McAlear said in a statement to MoparInsiders. The Charger Daytona Scat Pack and Charger SIXPACK models are still on schedule for the 2026 model year.

Bottom line: it’s small, sharp, and officially on shelves. Matchbox has delivered a true tribute to Dodge’s electric performance muscle car.
