Chrysler Celebrates 100 Years with Special Pacifica Edition
2026 Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition Debuts in Detroit

On June 6, 1925, Walter P. Chrysler founded the Chrysler Corporation out of the struggling Maxwell Motor Company, and exactly 100 years later, the company marked the occasion with a celebration on Belle Isle in Detroit. And what better way to honor a century of innovation than by launching a new model? Enter the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition—a stylish, well-equipped tribute to the company’s roots and future.
A Look Back: From Maxwell to Minivan King –

Walter Chrysler had already proven himself at Willys when he was tapped to turn Maxwell around. By 1924, he had introduced the first Chrysler-branded car—the Chrysler 70 (also known as the Six), a vehicle that brought big-car engineering to a more affordable price point. It featured unheard-of features for the time, like a high-compression engine, full-pressure lubrication, and hydraulic brakes.
That focus on innovative engineering quickly made Chrysler one of Detroit’s Big-3 automakers. By 1936, it had climbed to second in U.S. sales and maintained that position until 1949.
A Look Ahead: The Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition –

Fast forward to today, and Chrysler is still making waves—this time in the family vehicle market. The 2026 Chrysler Pacifica 100th Anniversary Edition pays tribute to the brand’s century-long legacy with exclusive styling and premium features. It’s based on the popular Pacifica Select trim and is available as either a gas model (with optional AWD) or the only plug-in hybrid (PHEV) minivan in the segment.
