2026 Jeep® Gladiator Shadow Ops Leads the Charge for Convoy
Mission-Ready Muscle, Delivered Quietly
Jeep® is expanding the Gladiator lineup in a big way for 2026—but it didn’t start with a flashy reveal. Instead, the rollout unfolded in real time. Early Thursday morning, we talked about Jeep quietly teasing the new Gladiator on social media, offering only shadowy images and vague hints. At that point, official details were limited. By Thursday afternoon, Jeep filled in the blanks with a proper press release, confirming the truck’s identity as the 2026 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Shadow Ops, the first special-edition model in the brand’s all-new Convoy campaign.

Convoy marks a new direction for the Gladiator, similar in structure to the Wrangler’s “Twelve 4 Twelve” program but with a more tactical and work-focused approach. While Wrangler buzz models often celebrate lifestyle and heritage, Convoy is built around capability, toughness, and mission-ready hardware. Shadow Ops is the opening move—and it immediately establishes the tone.
Built on the proven Gladiator Rubicon platform, Shadow Ops brings all the hardcore off-road equipment buyers expect, including locking differentials, a disconnecting sway bar, and Jeep’s Trail Rated 4×4 system. What truly sets it apart, however, is a first for the segment. The Gladiator Shadow Ops becomes the first midsize pickup truck to offer a factory-installed winch, making it a Jeep brand exclusive straight from the factory.

That winch is integrated with heavy-duty steel front and rear bumpers, giving owners real recovery capability without the need for aftermarket upgrades. Jeep also equips Shadow Ops with the Trailer Tow Package and auxiliary switches, making it ready for work gear, trail accessories, or overland equipment right off the dealership lot.
Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf summed up the intent behind the package clearly, saying, “The Jeep Gladiator has always stood for freedom and capability. Shadow Ops elevates that legacy to a whole new level. This package is built for our most passionate off-road enthusiasts, combining rugged functionality with a bold, covert look. Shadow Ops gives adventurers not just the tools, but the confidence and attitude to dominate any trail.”

Visually, Shadow Ops sticks closely to that covert theme. The truck features a Satin Black grille, blackout accents, and exclusive hood and fender decals that give it a low-profile, stealth-inspired appearance. A matching tailgate decal completes the look. Nothing feels excessive or flashy—this is a Gladiator designed to stay understated until it’s time to perform.
Jeep also balanced ruggedness with everyday usability. The Shadow Ops package includes a body-color Freedom Top three-piece hardtop and body-color fender flares, giving the truck a cleaner, more refined appearance while maintaining its aggressive stance. Inside, all-weather slush mats help protect the cabin from mud, snow, and trail debris, making it practical year-round.

Pricing was one of the biggest questions when the teasers first appeared on Wednesday evening. Jeep answered it quickly in the afternoon release. The Shadow Ops package is priced at $4,995 MSRP, but when compared to a similarly equipped Gladiator Rubicon with a body-color hardtop and fender flares, it represents only a $2,605 increase. Considering the factory-installed WARN winch and steel bumpers, that pricing makes a strong case for buyers who actually plan to use their truck off-road.
Jeep confirms the 2026 Gladiator Shadow Ops will arrive at dealerships in February 2026, with availability in both the United States and Canada. Canadian pricing will be announced later, and production will be limited.
From early-morning speculation to a full official reveal by the afternoon, Shadow Ops came together quickly—and made a strong first impression. If this is how Convoy begins, the Gladiator’s future special editions are off to a serious start.
