2025 Jeep® Gladiator Rubicon Lands in Australia
The Only Open-Air Ute Gets a Bold Upgrade

It’s been a long time coming, but the 2025 Jeep® Gladiator Rubicon has finally arrived in Australian showrooms—a full year behind schedule. Once the slowest-selling ute in the land down under, the Gladiator is now getting the facelift it desperately needed. And Jeep’s banking on this refreshed, feature-packed Rubicon variant to change its fortunes.
The Night Eagle model is no longer available, leaving the Rubicon as the only option in the lineup. While that might seem like a bold move, Jeep believes the Gladiator Rubicon—loaded with capability, tech, and rugged good looks—is the best chance to reignite interest in its open-air lifestyle truck.
More Rugged, More Refined –

This latest refresh brings a host of changes, starting with a new seven-slot grille, body-colored fender flares, updated 17-inch wheels, and a stealth windshield-mounted antenna that replaces the old-school mast. The Gorilla® Glass windshield adds a layer of durability for those heading into the bush or down rocky trails.
Extra Gear Now Comes Standard –
To help entice buyers, Jeep made the Lifestyle Adventure Group standard equipment. That means every Rubicon now includes:
-
Lockable under-seat storage
-
Trail rail system
-
240-amp alternator
-
Auxiliary switch bank
-
Removable Bluetooth® speaker
-
Spray-in bedliner
Optional extras, such as premium paint ($1,145 AUD or $765 USD) and a body-colored hardtop ($1,950 AUD or $1,300 USD), are still available.
Upgraded Interior with Tech to Match –

Inside, Jeep has amped up comfort with Nappa leather-trimmed seats, hard seatback panels, and 12-way power front seats that are waterproof-ready—because this is still a Jeep, after all.
Front and center is the new 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, the largest ever fitted in a Gladiator. It’s got wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and it’s built for high visibility even when driving topless in direct sunlight. Jeep also added soft-touch surfaces, sleeker dash vents, and mounting points for off-road gadgets.
Same Trusted Power, More Confidence –
Under the hood, the familiar 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 returns, delivering 209kW (280 hp) and 347Nm (256 lb-ft) of torque. It’s mated to a smooth 8-speed 850RE automatic transmission, offering solid low-end torque and a towing capacity of 2,721 kg (6,000 lbs). With 12.4L/100km (19 mpg) combined fuel efficiency and engine stop-start tech, it’s both powerful and reasonable on fuel.
Trail-Tested and Ready –

If capability is what buyers want, the Rubicon delivers. Jeep’s Rock-Trac® 4×4 system, electronic front sway-bar disconnect, and 77:1 crawl ratio give it top-tier trail cred. It rides on 32-inch off-road tires, features steel rock rails, and is built on a robust body-on-frame chassis with a five-link coil suspension that has been tuned for both off-road performance and on-road civility.
Better Safety Across the Board –
New safety upgrades include side curtain airbags front and rear, a rear seat reminder alert, and auto high-beam headlights. Standard driver-assist tech includes:
-
Adaptive Cruise Control
-
Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning
-
Blind-Spot Monitoring
-
Rear Cross-Path Detection
-
ParkView® Reverse Camera
-
ParkSense® Front and Rear Park Assist
The high-strength steel frame is designed to channel crash forces away from the cabin—making this truck as safe as it is capable.
Just One Trim, But It’s the Right One –

With the Night Eagle dropped, Jeep is laser-focused on the Rubicon to carry the nameplate forward in Australia. Loaded with everything Jeep fans expect—rugged looks, real off-road chops, open-air freedom, and modern comforts—it’s aimed squarely at buyers who want a truck that does more than just look the part.
Priced from $82,990 AUD (or about $55,600 USD), the new Gladiator Rubicon steps up with standard features that were once part of pricey option packages, making it a stronger value than before.
