Abarth Introduces Its New F595 Limited Edition For Racing Enthusiasts!

Sporty New F595, Takes Inspiration From Formula 4...

Coming off a record year, the Abarth brand is continuing to innovate its performance lineup with the introduction of its new Abarth F595 limited edition. The F595 is fitted with the same 165 horsepower high-performance version of the 1.4-liter Euro 6D-Final-compliant T-jet engine, that is used in the Italian and German Formula 4 (F4) race cars, thus explaining the “F” part in the F595 name.

The 1.4-liter engine is fitted with a Garrett turbocharger with a geometric compression ratio of 9:1. At the same pressure, this architecture optimizes the temperature in the combustion chamber and enables the peak torque of 230 Nm (170 lb.-ft.) of torque available @ 2,250 RPM, while peak horsepower is delivered @ 5,500 RPM.

The F595 also features a Record Monza exhaust, which now features a new configuration of 4 exhausts, 2 on each side and stacked vertically. The roar is always unmistakable, the same one that has accompanied generations of the Abarthisti fandom and has long been synonymous with power and performance. The active exhaust valve is controlled by pressing the “Scorpion” button on the dashboard.

The turbocharged engine allows for the Abarth F595 to have a top speed of 218 km/h (135.4 mph). It is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard equipment, but for those who don’t like to shift a 5-speed sequential-automatic transmission. Acceleration times vary depending on the transmission choice, with a 0 to 100 km/h of 7.3 seconds for manuals (7.4 seconds with the automatic).

The racing pedigree doesn’t stop with just the powerplant, the F595 features unique design cues like Rally Blue accents on the mirror caps, and front and rear air dam. The Rally Blue accents are highlighted by six exterior colors (Race White, Campovolo Grey, Scorpion Black, Record Grey, and Tarmac Grey). There is a set of sporty 17-inch Matte Black aluminum wheels, a unique “F595” badge, and LED fog lights to help separate the F595 from a standard 595 model on the exterior.

A racing-inspired interior gives the F595 a bold look inside. There is a leather-wrapped steering wheel and meticulously finished Abarth sports seats. A set of Sabelt racing seats are available as well. Of course, there is a 7-inch HD Uconnect™ infotainment touchscreen and an instrument panel finished in Matte Black.

The new F595 also features the same characteristic that fans of the Scorpion brand have come to love. A Koni rear suspension with Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology helps to ensure precise road holding and improves stability. The “Scorpion mode” selector on the dash alters peak torque delivery, power steering calibration, and engine response to the accelerator pedal, making them more responsive.

When it comes to braking, the F595 provides an optimal response and improved safety, consisting of 284-mm front and 240-mm rear ventilating discs.
